I’m buying my wife a cricut expression (as a Christmas present) Which should arrive in the post in the next week (or so)
Since my wife has lots of crafting ‘stuff’ we are trying to see where this new machine could fit
There is a space 25 by 21 (inches) where I could be “persuaded” to fit a shelf , But we are not sure that this space would be big enough to store and use a machine Advertised as 12 by 24 !
Any ideas if this space is large enough?
With thanks!

Is this space just for storage or for the use of the machine as well?

I don't think it will fit there as it is wider than that. Keep in mind you also need room behind it for the mat to go through as you cut your shapes!!! I have mine on my table and I bought a kitchen rack from Big Lots-I set the machine on the rack and then I have the space underneath it that I can still use!Hope this helps and welcome to our world!!

The expression itself is about 22x8 inches. It can use eitheir a 12x12 mat or a 12x24 mat. You need to have enough space behind the expression for the mat. The area I have mine is 24x15 and it has to be move to the very front of the area to give enough room behind it. I use the 12x12 mat 99.9% of the time, when I use the 12x24 mat I move it to the diningroom table. Be sure where ever you put it is at the level that is easy to use unless you store in one spot and use in another.

BTW: Do people mainly use the cartridges or a package like "sure cuts alot" in the expression? I can see the attraction of a cartridge (no computer required!) but on the other hand for the price of a single cartridge you can buy the software and then 'print' anything you like!

She will love it. I have Sure-cuts-a-lot...but I use mostly cartridges. They are way more user friendly with a small learning curve. I would not say that about sure cuts a lot.
