Has anyone tried to cut the Buzz Lightyear figure on this cartridge. I cut it as big as I could (11") and still ended up with very small pieces that I couldn't figure out the placement for. Also is the cutting order base, base shift, layer 1, layer 1 shift, layer 2, layer 2 shift, etc the order that is supposed to be used when assembling or is base, layer 1, layer 2, etc then the shift functions the proper order or is it random. So far I'm very confused.

I cut him at 7 inches and had many small pieces....there were a few that I had no place for....sorry, once I finished him (it took a few hours to glue it all) I tossed the pieces and gave Buzz to one of my Grandsons, who promptly bent his legs almost off!!!! Gotta love those cute kids.

After attempting to make a Woody image that looked remotely like it should, I'm ready to say "uncle" and dump this cartridge!! Way too difficult to layer and way too many tiny pieces!!!

You all are scaring me! I've cut Woody and Jessie and the heads of Slinky, Hamm and Rex so far. I was very surprised to see how much grey is in Buzz. I never expect the Disney carts to be easy tho ... but they do take it a bit too far.

They do take time but they are so worth it in my opinion. I enjoy putting them together. I won't cut any of them to small though.
