Hello, I just bought my first cricut and right now it is a love/hate relationship. Well I do love it, I hate that I can't seem to make it do what I want it to! I tried the once upon a princess cart and have been practicing by making the dolls for my daughter. The only doll I can't figure out is the first doll (pictured on the cover) with brown hair in poofy pony tails. How do you cut the hair? I have tried and tried and cannot figure out what I am missing. Please help!!

Hmm, that is confusing. Usually the hair is one of the layers. The only place I see the hair (this is pg 24 right?) is in the Doll-1 cut with NO shift. Cut that out in brown, then cut your doll-1 WITH shift in skin color to put over Doll-1 with NO shift. That should leave the hair uncovered. Does that make sense?
HTH!

The dolls on that cart are layered so differently from the paper doll carts, but I love them! Flamenco is right about the hair being the base cut and the body being the layer. In the front of the handbook (the part we all skip) are some explanations that will help you learn to use this cart (and the other carts). You'll find out about layering, real dial size, key height character and other useful info. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I never thought of layering like that as the other dolls on this cart have the hair as a separate layer.
