I'm new to the Cricut world and just got the Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter (6x12). Can I use this cartridge?
I bought the Wild Card cartridge before I did any research, and realized that I couldn't make normal size cards on it.
Thanks,
Claudette

I don't know enough about the smaller cricut so someone else would have to answer that question, But you could still use the images. I tend to use premade card bases (cause i can't fold a paper straight to save my life even with a score blade) and I plan on using the cuts from this cart to make my own cards, some off the cartridge intended cards, and some of my own ideas.

I just recently bought this cartridge also. I had heard on the old board that although you couldn't do all of the items with the smaller Cricut machine you could still use if for a lot of things. I have used it to make a few cards so far and have been pleased. Working on using it to make a Christmas card cut at 5 1/2" I think it was the doily card. Won't be able to make the envelope for it, but it's a card for some people at church and will attach it to a gift. Probably won't even need an envelope. Hope to have it finished soon. Somewhere I also saw some information posted on sizes for using it with the smaller machine.
Also, someone had posted some information about this cartridge on the old board related to the smaller Cricut machine ad the size of cuts. Just don't remember who it was. I'd have to check and see if I can find it on my computer.
Hope this makes sense and has helped.

I have the baby bug. So far, I've only made one card. It came out just fine. I knew I couldn't do the envelopes, but most of the cards don't look like an issue to me. A 5x5 card easily fits on a 6x12 piece of paper.

An A2 card size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded. It fits into an A2 envelope or any envelope that measures 4 3/8" x 5 3/4". Sometimes I just cut the base and even additional layers of the card - a paper trimmer is the basic tool required here, and then " dress" it up with cuts from a cart + embellishments. I have used a CREATE to cut 1 card from the Wild card cart, it did cut it too, I don't have the cart on hand to check but I think it was the "much appreciated" card. You can always make your own envelopes - using a scoring board. Or you can buy envelopes if you prefer and then make the card to fit that size. HTH

I agree with Lovely Lady, you could still use the cart and just make A2 cards and if anything just buy a pack of envies at M's using a 40% off coupon. Still in expensive way to get xmas cards done. Plus you could always make tags too, vinyl etc.

Claudette -
I have the charts for both the 12 x 12 and the 6 x 12 mats for this cartridge. I also have the baby bug, and the Gypsy, so sometimes I can get away with a slightly bigger card by putting it on G and rotating it, then nudging it larger, but not always. PM me with your email and I can send you what I have, as they are Word documents (charts) that I can't post to the board. And no, they are not my originals, I will credit the right people when I find them and send them off to you.
I love this cart. Sometimes I just use the sentiment and the image and put it on a standard A2 or A7 (5 x 7") card, as I can buy blank cards in bulk for a good price on occaission, and then I have a card and envie ready and just stick on what I want and write a note inside. But the shapes of the cards and envies are half the fun with this cart, don't you think?

I hope you find this helpful... I got it from MamaC she forwarded it to me when I got your my cartridge
From what I noticed the envelop did not match the card size so I just do the cards and give them without any envelops.
For the baby bug! I took all of the cards and envelopes, and found out what was the max size to use for each design. It's too much to type out in the MB, but if your interested in my findings, PM me and I can e-mail them to you.
