I got a cricut E2 as an early birthday gift from my prince. Thanks honey!

I've been playing around with the Art Nouveau cartridge and made these two ornies as a gratitude token for the gifts I've been blessed with. I thought I'd share it with you all.

Cartridge: ART NOUVEAU
Paper stock: CARD STOCK old calendar paper (Wolfcreek Galleries)
Alterations: Lines and stippling using color markers (Bic permanent markers)

Scarab Ornie

Here's what they look like backlit...

These are my first cricut project and this is my first post, too. I'm having so much fun using my E2. BigGrin I hope you like them.

Happiness!

Lagi (always),
WINNIE

Both are just beautiful! I make 'ornament cards' a lot, especially for my grandchildren, but nothing this fancy. BigGrin

Thanks everyone!

Here are three more that I finished this week...

Cartridge Resources: Rock Princess and Happy Hauntings (frame)
Paper stock: Wolfcree gallery Calendar (heavy card stock)
Alterations: Black and White gel pen & Bic and sharpie permanent markers
Rock Princess for Jhonna

Cartridge Resources: Art Nouveau & Fancy Frames
Paper stock: Wolfcree gallery Calendar (heavy card stock)
Alterations: Black and White gel pen & Bic and sharpie permanent markers
Swan for Wolfcreek

Hummingbird for my Johnny bear

I got the E2 because I love paper illustrating but my hands couldn't take the work. After years of lusting after it, I finally found one on eBay that had a noisy blade which I could fix (thanks to Everhack's instructions) and we were able to purchase it for 30% of the brand new price. It only came with a power cord. I use the usb cord of my printer. It worked like a charm! I purchased a cutting mat & more cartridges on eBay (all as a generous early birthday gift from my prince) and the fun started!

It was really fun using the landscape painting prints on the heavy & textured cardstock from the wonderful people of the Woflcreek Printers. I learned how to position the start point and adjust the size and other features of the CCR software. The alterations started as a kind of doctoring for weirdly looking abstract parts of the designs. I had fun doing it so I kept on going.

Happiness, ever!

You have done a beautiful job on these ornament cards. I really like the papers/colors you used & how they look so well with your cuts.
