Michael's has a 50% off coupon for next week. If it says no cricut products, does that include cuttlebug and other provocraft products, since they don't technically say "cricut" on them?

I bought my cuttlebug at Michaels with a 50% coupon months and months ago. I always buy my embossing folders with coupons.

They are very inconsistent on this item. Most of the time they will let me since the box does not officially say cricut. You can usually get the discount. It all comes down to the manager on duty.

The newer cuttlebug folders actually say Cricut on them, so it's possible that Michaels might not let you use the coupon. I don't know why PC did that - the cricut and the cuttlebug are two totally different systems that don't have anything to do with each other Confused

Good luck

I was once told by a Michael's manager that Cuttlebug stuff is Cricut. I called Michaels customer service and the rep said they WERE NOT considered Cricut items. The rep even called the store manager.

BUT! Since then "Cricut" is appearing on the packaging, so I'm not sure anymore.

Cuttlebug is now considered Cricut stuff. The newer products have 'Cricut' on the packaging.

Michaels and JoAnn's and other craft stores make the decision about the discount coupons. PC would like for the Cricut products to be included in the sales, but this is a corporate decision by the craft stores. I was told this by one of the admin people from PC a couple of years ago.

I can see why. They are more "high end" than the regular craft items. I think store management thinks they are what draw us in to buy the other stuff.

JoAnns allows you to use coupons with Cricut accessories, but Michaels doesn't. HL will let you use their coupons on Cricut accessories. They won't take competitors' %off coupons, but they will take a competitor's coupon if it lists a specific price.

At our J's Cricut & Cuttlebug are off the list for coupons as they are now excluded because it says papercrafting machines, etc. so it is all inclusive and also because they now say Cricut as posted earlier in this thread. If you can, you are lucky- our stores here automatially exclude at the register. BJR.

I called my Michaels this morning to ask about "the machine that shall not be named" supplies and was told anything Cricut or the other are not covered under the coupons. So unless it is on sale no coupons allowed....I say big BUMMER...guess I won't go to the store today.
