Graphic 45 paper (again my favorite brand)

This is an anniversary card, I added the square at the top and popped it
only a couple cuts from George

CricketCMV: you had posted something on last week's challenge after this week's challenge already started so I'm sorry I missed it! I like how your card turned out... it's very pretty with all the sparkles and the contrast with the dark outlines and light paper. I agree with you about the ink fading in some spots on the transparencies... maybe you can find some other way to make it stick? Maybe pen over the outlines with something a bit more permanent and that's not going to smudge. I've never tried using the markers on transparencies so I don't know the results myself

Hi y'all!

I just registered on cricut so I can talk on here to represent my group. Y'all might not realize how many followers y'all got but my group alone has 25+ people that come on here and look every week. Y'all got some talented people on here and we miss some of your old ones like sunnie and the 2 sisters from the UK that used a lot of spellbinders and metal stickers. Shame they left. None from my group are registered with cricut cause we use other machines but we do come on here and use your weekly sketches and look at all the cards. My groups been resident lurkers for 2+ years now. We all dont mean to intrude on your group but can y'all just get on with this name change and not let it drag over the weekend? We apologize for the rudeness but its getting a bit annoying reading about it all and we dont mean no disrespect here but we copied your votes from last week and this week to speed up this process

raquel: My final vote is to keep the current title we are now using for the second week in a row: Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge

To raq, my group misses you but understand why you want a change. If you ever use other machines, come on over and check out our group. We know our votes dont count but we agree with dragon, wednesday card sketch challenge says it all

I didn't like the outcome; so, I was going to revamp the card today....unfortunately, my DSIL called just as I was getting ready to turn on my CRICUT this morning and wanted me to pal around with her today. We hardly ever take time together other than holiday family gatherings. We went to three scrapbook stores (45-65 miles away)....she is a bigtime scrapbooker. We just got home about half an hour ago. I hope to revamp the card during the evening hours. I know what I want to do and I think it will be one I'll be willing to send out.

I have thought I could actually use the markers to write the sentiments/words on paper with my CRICUT, then scan that onto my computer and print out on transparencies. I think that will work much better. Not going to do it tonight, though....maybe on another card I try.

What Heck is that all about WBROWN50? Yes it was rude very very very rude. Maybe you and your "friends" have been lurking for 2 years (I do not believe you) but you pick this post to be your FIRST post on the MB REALLY?. Just sign yourself back out and leave to go back to lurking! Or at this point I am so MAD (and those that know me around here know it takes a lot to get me mad) that I don't really care if you keep coming around and being rude where you have absolutely not place to do because I will not be coming around here anymore. If you have been lurking and using our sketches you could have easily come on here to comment about some of the "talent" that you observed.

If you have been lurking and wanted to put your "2cents" in about the name there was a much much nicer way to do it. I have another machine also, so please tell me which other machines and forums you post on so I can see if you are rude over there also.

IF you would have really read the posts you would see that some of the voting has been done via PM so that is why you didn't see votes from those you mentioned. Also if you read ALL the posts you would know that Turtlebug was tallying the votes so that is why her vote was not on here. You know nothing about this group so you should keep your 2 cents to yourself. Plus some of the people on here talk off board and probably made up there mind anyways. Turtlebug was just trying to be nice and help us all agree on a name and try to come up with something catchy!

What I think is that someone has put you up to posting this and I guess that is what makes me mad. And I have a idea of who is behind it. I am so mad I am shaking.

Sorry Josie - I will make the other 2 sketches for this week and post and that will probably be all for me unless I cool off and come back to my usual calm self.

Evening to all, I have been trying to post my cards all afternoon but this silly laptop was having none of itCursing . Just popped on here now before I turn in for the night and hay presto it would work.
Sorry for cutting and run but I will be back tomorrow to leave comments. Turtlebug here is my card using #1 sketch, it is for my neighbour tomorrow. The papers are Kaisercraft and I have cut up 2 sheets to make the base and added a small topper. The butterfly is one of their stamps which I have cut out and pop dotted.

wbrown50: a lot of people "lurk" in on this challenge but I never thought a group that doesn't even use Cricut would bother going to a Cricut site... very interesting. Anyway, thanks for your input and I would be happy to check out your group, if I knew where or how to find you? You sort of left that information out

To the "regulars"... LOL! Ok, I just wanted to update you all on my house move. We received our official closing date and its on March 15 (two weeks from today!!!)

So, we called the moving company we had picked out and our official moving day is March 22nd. I have 3 weeks left to pack!

On a different subject... I must be crazy! My local JoAnns had a huge paper stack clearance and I picked SEVEN paper stacks for $1.99-2.99 each from all different brands including K&Company AND FOUR Martha Stewart punches. They were regularly $16.99 -19.99 each and I got for $2.99-3.99

LUCKY FIND HUH? I took pictures ... I'll have to share later

I made a sketch 2 card yesterday and decided to use it this morning to sent to a life-long friend...but I forgot to get a picture of it...Blushing so I guess that means I need to make another one tomorrow... but today I made a sketch 3 card and I can share it with you....

cartridge: Create a Critter, Mother's Day Bouquet.

I did the hair on top of the doggy sort of the same way as I did on the other doggy on another card... I did by squashing a flower but then I cut 2 squashed flowers to make this one... it lined up so nicely I amazed myself.... not sure how that happened.BigGrin plus I am not sure I could do it again...

We (yes, those that have been here even the newer members that have been sharing), are all friends. NOT going to happen and I'll be really sad if any of you allow yourselves to be pushed away

I told you all once before that I have no intentions of leaving and I will continue to keep this challenge going for as long as even one person is up for it.

I know you all probably don't even want to log on and just stay away from this drama and I don't blame you... but hey... I'm still here and willing to share for as long as someone is listening BigGrin

I was so shocked by this post today........but, NanaDonna, don't let them have what they want. It sounds like they are trying to create derision on this thread and you just can't allow them to have what they want. I can't believe that post.

I just LOVE your creations; always have. We would be so sad if you weren't right in there everyday. I look for you everyday. DON'T let someone like this get to you.

Now, jump right back on there and let the girls know how much you LOVE their creations and just forget about those 25 people!!!!!!!! I know I can say some things that rub people the wrong way on the MBs; I don't mean to. But, for someone to be this mean and callus and stupid is just NOT RIGHT!

Come on back; we need you. I know I've only just recently come to this thread, but I am really seeing the love you girls have for one another. I have a hard time getting in on this stuff. We've lost enough members due to super busy things in their lives. We've lost people because they got into other crafts like crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking, you name it! We ALL get busy but I do admire those that keep coming back here even just to say "hello"... feels good to call this home

So what if once in a while we get "annoying" visitors... hey, happens in real life too! LOL!

Donna, don't you leave us... don't you leave me! LOL! Who's gonna compare paper stacks with me?

I found a useful feature on here!


You can HIDE a post someone wrote so you don't have to see it ever. So if there are any posts you find offensive, simply click on the down arrow next to the user name of the post you don't want to see and a drop down menu will appear. Click on "hide user post" and POOF... the post is still there but it just shows a blank screen

Alright, I thought I'd share that itty bitty info

I'm positive you will be back on here to see what kind of response you got to your post, so I would like to address some of the things you wrote and obviouly know NOTHING about!!
First of all, why do you say "It's a shame" some of the Ladies have left this link? None of us has signed a contract on here stating that we HAVE to stay. We are free to come and go on here as we please...and some of us DO come and go as we please. For some of us life does get in the way sometimes and we learn to adjust to changes, are you still doing the SAME things you were doing 10-15 yrs ago?? If you are you must lead a very boring life! You say you have been lurking, doing our sketches, LOVE our cards and we are SO talented... yet in all that time did you or any of your 25+ groupies ever post on here a nice comment about it...no you chose to represent your group and post on a subject that doesn't have ONE thing to do with any of you. If you are tired of reading about the voting..THEN DON'T READ IT....it is NOT on here for your benefit. As popular as Cricut and Provo products are, I can't believe NOT one of you owns a Cricut machine, Cuttlebug and embossing folders, etc. or ANY of the hundreds of products that Provo has out there and yet this is your reason for NOT having joined Cricut till now...very strange, indeed. How much of an inconvience was it for "Y'ALL" to keeping lurking and doing our sketches and just let us go about OUR business of finding us a new name for this link no matter how long it takes??? SO you want this voting to be over and done with BY this week-end for YOUR convenience...EXCUSE ME!!??
IN case you haven't noticed...I am TurtleBug....and you say you DON"T mean to offend anyone, yet as you KNOW I am the one overseeing this voting and you have the GALL to repost how the Ladies on here are voting??? I am NOT a child and feel I am more than capable of knowing how to keep track of the voting of 15-20 Ladies without any help OR input from you!!
Tonight my husband and I had plans to go to dinner with my family to celebrate out 43rd Wedding Anniversary and to say that this post put a damper on my celebrating is an understatement. My night was TOTALLY ruined. How does your "little 2 cents worth make you feel now (if you even have a conscience)?
So sad that you only invited Raquel to come visit your group, as I'm sure the rest of us would have loved to see how YOUR link of 25+ group and how talented "Y'ALL" are and interpet our sketches, which by the way we love sharing with everybody. But since you don't seem to have a name for it, I guess we will NEVER find it...maybe "Y'ALL" should vote on a name...please feel free to use your favorite one from our list of suggestions, since you have read the list MANY times I won't list them all for you on here!
Hope it makes you feel real good knowing you have been very rude and disrespectful, angered and hurt some of the Ladies on here....some which won't be returning...Thank You very much!

May I make a suggestion? How does "WBrown50's Rude Card Sketch Challenge" sound to "Y'ALL" for your link name, because if you are always this rude I can understand why your group only has 25+ members. And, if I or anyone of our Ladies has been rude, offended or hurt any of "Y'ALL" in any way...please, please feel more than free to NEVER, EVER post on here AGAIN! And, believe me Y"ALL won't be missed!

And...that is "MY 2 cents worth"..Thank you!

Turtlebug - Lovely card for #1 and extra credit, I like the hat pins they bring it together with the BG paper. #2 very pretty like the folder you used. Such a pretty card for #3 I like how you used the bird in the tag to pull in the BG paper.

Bingolady - Thats a lovely card for #2 and ad colours. #1 great use of the flower to bring in the BG papers, like the butterfly's too.

Vickie - I just love both your cards, #3 very much so.

NanaDonna - Very pretty card for #3, love the big blooms.

Suevan - Nice to see you on here again, lovely card for #2 and pretty papers. I do love your anniversary card though.

Turtlebug - I am so sorry your evening was ruined by a most hurtful post. Up to reading that I do hope you and your husband had a great day.

I will say this one thing out in the open that I have found this whole name changing thing too much. It has been going on for too long, when I joined the site a long time ago it was known as one thing then it changed as the person no longer even came on the site. It matters to me not what it is called I just enjoyed coming on here and sharing my cards and making friends with like minded people. I love to see what we have all made but I hate wading through reposts. I like to see anything we have made be it from a sketch or not its just nice to see what we are up to. This thread was for crafting and I don't think it matters how many pages we fill by the end of the week it is all about the crafty content and not lets fill it up with chit chat to swell our numbers. Yes it IS nice to pass the time of day with everyone but hey we were going off on a tangent some times. So I for one will be gathering myself for the rest of the week.
If I have upset anyone then I am sorry as that is not what I intended to do. I am sure you will let me know if I have.

The person who wrote the hurtful comment I feel is an insider as they know far too much stuff, they have gone out of their way to open an account using another Email address just so we can't find them. So shame on them I hope they sleep well in there bed at night.

Good morning ladies

Just a quick pop in this morning....got a bball game this morning and then I have to get home to work my shift and then on to the grocery store as I just couldn't bring myself to do it after work last night (I absolutely hate shopping and had to do it twice this week as daughter needed a dress...give me a craft store and I am happy). Not sure if I will make it back tonight or not.

I hadn't yet voted on the name change...I am okay with anything as long as I know where to find us come Wednesday mornings. I do like the "Wednesday" being in the title and I like "inspirational or no pressure."

I won't respond to the "bad post" but it was a little irritating...but as she said we won't be hearing from them again.:)

I myself can't always find time in my schedule to get any crafting in and what I love about this little "family" is that I can be missing in action and am always welcomed back with open arms.

Great job everyone and lets just ignore that rude person whom has upset so many, i just did like Raquel suggested and hid the post i love this group of people and dont care what its called as long as i can find it LOL just keep on doing what we love card making and sharing

In the last 3 years, I've received many PMs from so many people I don't even know all concerning this challenge. Some good and some bad. I've never shared any of them publicly and just dealt with them privately.

Last night I received a PM from our stranger and l am now convinced that this person's sole purpose is to cause the trouble he/she already has done.

This person told me that I'm "messed up" and continues to tell me that I should leave this group and join theirs. HUH??? Needless to say, this has also been the first PM I had NOT replied to

I don't believe that there 25 people from the same group lurking
I believe it is only one person
I am not convinced that this person is an "inside" job because hanging out in the Cricut forum long enough, you start to see and recognize the same user names
It is easy enough to remember Tami (sunnieday) since she used to host quite a bit
Knowing the "2 girls from UK" remains a mystery to me since one of them was only here maybe a month?

I don't know... all I know is that this happened and now it's time to just move on

I want to apologize to Josie since its my fault this whole name change issue even started. When she took it upon herself to collect suggestions, I encouraged her to repost the list. I'm sorry for "dragging" all of this which caused so much trouble

I agree that it doesn't matter anymore what we call our challenge as long as we can get back to our little family. I don't want any one to leave permanently. I want you all to keep sharing the beautiful creations, share the wonderful techniques, and keep being enablers so I can spend more money

Now... enough of this! Continuing all this hostility is exactly what the stranger wants and we are allowing this person to win

I will be working on crafts darn it! LoL!

I love what you did with the background and I love how you took the picture, it really feels like you're in a garden. Very pretty card and awesome job using the Ad colors
