I would go with a theme of whatever the little boy is interested in.

I agree to use a theme. There are lots of trucks, cars, trains, planes on carts. Little boys love vehicles.

Simple shapes & the like from the early cartridge of My Community. Buses, tractors, trains, crayons etc. Very cute child oriented designs.

Dinosaurs,robots,zoo animals. Vinyl is easy to use,just follow some youtube videos. You can also use contact paper,it's cheaper with more color/pattern selection.
