I use to store my carts in a container that had a lid. I have been searching for something else to store them out in the open so I did not have to dig around looking for them. But I did not want a binder or anything else I would have to pick and it become heavy like the lidded container did.

I had seen a post on here of someone who made like a spinning cube and velcroed their carts to it. Not sure who it was or where the post is now, but it was a neat idea. Just what I did not know I was looking for LOL

A couple of weeks back I had bought a wooden media tower for $10 and I turned it into a shelf unit on my wall above my work area. the 3 cubbie holes are not too big nor too small. Still need to find things to put in 2 of the cubbies.

Then I showed hubby the spinning cube thingy I wanted him to build me and he then decided that he could make me one of them using one of the media towers. I would have 3 more cubbie holes and 3 sides to velcro carts to. And it spins around as well. I do not have to move the tower out just turn it and I can access my carts on the side.

Below are pictures of it all. I have 24 carts up that one side. Which is only half of what I actually own. But.... I wanted only my most used carts out in the open for now. The others are in the old lidded container I kept them in.

Great idea! And I'm so jealous you have that OTT desk caddy! The OTT importer here in Australia isn't bringing that one in. He says it hasn't been that popular in the US. He obviously doesn't read this messageboard! Flapper

And because it isn't dual voltage I can't even use an international plug to use it!

Sorry, I seem to have gone off topic! Blushing

Okay. I found the picture of the inspiration.

I still do not know who it is that created it. I just saved the picture to my hard drive. Blushing

Love your new storage! What a great idea! I have the Ott lamp also. My Walmart marked them down to $19.00!

Narelle, I use a spinning kitchen utensil caddy in place of the Ott. It has a lot of square holders around the base and a large holder in the center I put rulers in. If you are handy,
you could put a light in it.

I found my light like that in the clearance section too. It is nice but I find the little caddy holes are not deep enough to hold what I wanted to put in mine. I have other things in it than what I originally wanted in it.

That OTT desk caddy light was on clearance at my walmart for 19.99 or was it 16.99 last week. If I hadn't just bought a similar one from JoAnns I would have bought one.
