BTW: I still have the purple flower you made from that swap and I LOVE it. I can't bring myself to give it away on a project. I have been saving it for something special !

I have a couple left from the swap, too. I feel the same way they are too pretty for just any card/project.

Just making sure, the number of flowers we send has to be 10 or more? So I can send 12 so I can get one flower from each of the participants?

Rebecca, sorry but I am dropping out of this swap.

It's not "polite" to start up a swap and then decide to leave the MB but 12 days after opening said swap.

I truly believe you can be trusted, but the problem I have with this is that you will not be on the MB on a regular basis and will not be very good with communication and will not be keeping track of your participants. Gals will lose interest or forget about this swap and there will be late mailings and other issues.

and I had a REALLY really bad experience with a flower swap 2 years ago where we had a flaker and the hostess flaked too, so no way will I stay in a swap where the hostess is already announcing she is leaving the MB.

Sorry, but it's the way it has to be with me.

I don't mean to add fuel to the fire, but when I hosted a Flower Swap ( http://www.cricut.com/fo...veverywon--Darcelle.aspx ) I was on the message board everyday and I still had 2 Flakers.

Just wanted to know what was going on.

No, this swap is not being cancelled. I will follow through and do everything that I promised to do. As all of you ladies know.... I am true to my word and would not FLAKE on anything that I had committed to do. I've removed several ladies from the swap at THEIR request. The only reason that I announced that I was leaving was to give everyone a heads up that that's why I was no longer signing up for future swaps as I was getting A LOT of PM's regarding future swaps. I still think it was the right thing to do no matter what the general opinion is. I have to stay true to MY own principles and didn't want to just stop showing up one day. If anyone else is wary please just let me know and I will remove you too. I love the MB! I would never do anything that would prevent me from coming back sometime and joining back in....It really bothers me that someone would question my integrity when I've done nothing to give anyone a reason to do so. LIFE does happen and I do have the right to make my own choices for myself!!! I hope you will all continue and not drop but if you decide to do so that is also your right! Have a great day, ladies

I just got my power back on and have been checking my threads. I am a bit confused hereBlushing
what the heck happened while I was gone. Crazy drama for sure!!!!

If you are going to be leaving the board, that is certainly your decision but you should have said something like AFTER you finished all your hostess and participant obligations then you would be leaving. I don't think anyone is questioning your integrity.

All I read on another thread was that you were leaving. This one explains it a little better. I am not the only one that got nervous about this swap.

If you are still going to be on the board and just not joining other swaps right now, that makes a big differencce to me. As long as you plan on following thru with the swaps you are hosting and keep the communication open, I don't have a problem.

I do see that at least 3 people have decided to drop out.
It is early enough that you could cancel without too many having made their flowers yet.
I have all 12 of my flowers done and packaged for mailing. I will now hold off on that for now.

Do what is best for you Rebecca. Sorry to see you go.

Whatever. There is no rule that says when you should let people know you are leaving and we did what we thought was best.

Here are my flowers they will be mailed in the morning since they are still wet and I have to get to the post office to mail my other swaps.

I have 2 packages to mail this week so the flowers will have to go out next Monday(Feb 25).
