I'm thinking of making one......which is out of my comfort zone, but I want to try. Do you use a glue stick or liquid glue?

liquid glue, Scotch Quick Dry OR SU Sticky tape
Never use adhesive-it's just not strong enough

For 3-D cuts (like boxes, etc.), I like Scotch Quick Dry - but be sure to hold it together securely until completely dry (luckily it does dry pretty fast). Another good alternative with no drying time (and less messy), is Terrifically Tacky Tape (redline tape) or Scor Tape ... both have a much stronger hold than regular snail type adhesives or double-sided tapes.
I have never had much success with glue sticks, so for permanent holds, that is not a product I would use.

I love to use Aleene's Tacky Glue for such things. It's resilient and holds things together really good. It dries clear. I use the end tip of any of my brushes to run a line of glue up and down where I want it, press together and hold for ten or fifteen seconds or until it is adhering like I want it to. It should stay together until it dries. It does take a while to dry. There are other such types of glue out there; but, I don't know what they are. Others have mentioned them on here.
