Here is a cake my daughter, Heather and her daughter, Teaghan and I made for a Baby Shower - Safari Theme. We used the Create A Critter Cartridge to cut out the animals. Even though the Cricut cake has been discontinued, it won't keep us from being creative! I <3 Cricut!

I love this. It looks like it must've taken days. May I ask...what fondant did you use...or was it sugar sheets?

It took about 10 hours to do the first one, I had to first design the cutouts on the Gypsy, then cut the layers and put them together. My daughter and I just made another one with the same critters, and this one only took 6 hours, as I already knew what to do, and had some colored fondant from the first one. I used a 50/50 mixture of Wilton Gum Paste and Marshmallow Fondant that I made. I used colored fondant to color my fondant mixture, rolled out thin and cut with the Cricut Cake. Let me know if you want the Marshmallow fondant recipe. Not sure where I got it, but it is delicious!

My daughter and I made another one, the following weekend, and she sold it for $60.00 dollars and gave me $30.00. Now I can get some more gum paste, to make more of the 50/50 Fondant mixture to make more Critters.

So beautiful and thanks for sharing. Any tips you do not mind posting would be appreciated. My Cricut Cake is still in the box because I am still intimidated to use it, but I want to make something with it!!
Thanks,
Penny

So insanely cute!!
Bought a cake mini (two actually--long story) and using one for paper one for polymer clay--I love what you did!!
Wish my fam liked cake, or I would steal your idea--as it is, I might translate it into clay--they would look pretty cute hanging from my Christmas tree!
Thanks for posting,
Tryna

Your cakes are to die for... Absolutely adorable. If you are sharing your recipe to make the gum paste, and 50/50 Fondant mixture,I would love to have it. I am still testing my Cricut Cake and I am not having much luck cutting fondant with it.. Thank you so much.
