Yikes-this font don't weld right. I'm trying to use the font like cursive writing, but it won't work. Weird thing is it looks like it's in cursive format. It doesn't line up right. :(

JD - Can you use the little circular logo (on the bottom left corner when you first get handles around your image/s) to turn the letters a little and then move them over into each of the other letters? I'm not home, but I do want to look at this when we return home in a few days.

That's a great question... I think they rec'd cut size is up to 23"-- so I'm pretty sure that's what the qualifications meant.

The (5) refers to the criteria list number in the rules.
(1)creativity
(2)overall aesthetic
(3)use of the Extreme Font images
(4)project category
(5)large cut size for week 1 & 2
(6)small cut size for week 3

Since the ad for the cartridge when you first come on the site says can be cut up to 23" or as small as 1/2" it seems to me they are looking for some large projects for week 1&2 like the locker example in the picture there and something using a very small size for the week 3 font.

They really should have added a size range in their rules for clarification purposes.

Hi Sue - I might be wrong, but I get the impression that "Large Font Size" is referring to the name or characteristic of a font style that hasn't been released/activated on CCR yet. The reason I say that is because of the name of the cartridge (Extreme Fonts - with an "s" as in more than one), and also the picture and description on the contest page. The pictured font doesn't look a thing like the one offered this week, which I'm assuming is the Basic Font. Also, the description (under the picture) says: "Extreme Fonts features five new fonts: two that can be cut up to 23" high and three that can be cut as tiny as ½"....
• We’ll offer a selected font from the cartridge as the Free Cut of the Week.
• You can design a project with the featured font of the week and submit it along with instructions.
• The contest will run for three weeks, with three different featured fonts."

Anyway, that's just my interpretation of the way PC wrote it... I might be wrong.

PS - I'm also guessing that the reason only regular-sized projects are posted right now is because the "Basic" Font is the only one available to use at this time. Again, I might be wrong, but I get the impression that you can cut these in any size you want/need for your project and that "Large Font Size" is just referring to the name/feature on the cartridge. It also probably cuts best at larger sizes in comparison to the "Small Font Size" cutting better at small sizes. Again, just a guess & I might be wrong...

Yes Char, but that's not the problem. The problem for me is the way the letters actually connect, they just do not line up right. Have you had a chance to look or play with it yet?

For the week 3 font there kind of is...

When you are in CCR go to my cartridges and click on Extreme Fonts.

When it opens there will be 2 tabs one says basic and the other is blank.

The basic tab was for the week 1 font and if clicked the keypad will be blank.

Click on the second, blank tab and this week's font will come up on the keyboard.

I thought it was today. I just checked FB and didn't see anything. Maybe later?

They were supposed to notify the winners via email by 2-15 and the winners have a certain amount of time to respond to their winning emails. My guess is that after they have heard back from all of the winners then they will post them.
I figured the losers might get a rejection email but I guess not, I didn't get one.

I was not notified by email. Just saw it on facebook.

I've been checking on that... I don't have an answer for you yet, but we were under the assumption that the order had been placed and sent to the winners... I'm going to keep checking until everyone gets their prize--- including our Canadian friends :)
