I am a little confused! Some cricut gel pens come with a magnetic holder, and some don't. Do I need this special holder? Will they work with my Cricut Mini? I am looking to buy these pens :- Gel pens on Amazon

Yes you need the holder...you would need to buy a starter kit, not sure thats what its called but you need to buy the one with the holder and then you can buy the refills which don't come with the holder.

Thanks. The ones you have a link to are the Cricut markers. You don't need a holder for those because they are shaped to replace the housing unit that holds the blade. But, they also have a fairly thick tip, so you won't get the detail that you get with the gel pens. These are the Cricut gel pens and they come with a holder that fits in your Cricut instead of the blade housing unit.  I've never seen refills only. Maybe those are made by someone other than Provo Craft.

i got the whole kit on ebay for about 8.50....pretty good deal..u get 10 gel pens....
