I am in need, actully only have small amounts left, of solid colored paper. I have some monochromatic colors from Core'dinations. I'm wanting something new.
Can you recommend a brand. I need solid colors to go with my huge stash of flowered and every object imaginable. I want something that will cut in my Cricut Expression and in my Big Shot. I do not care for the thinner than copier paper as I seem to end up with cuts looking like they got caught in the rain.
Also I would like to buy maybe packs of like 25.
Any ideas welcome!!!

I like Bazzill smoothies, Stampin Up (so easy to coordinate colors with the markers, ribbons, inks, etc) and Creative Memories. Unfortunately, CM has a lot less colors than they use to but I love how it cuts in the cricut-not too thick, not too thin.

I have not had any problems with the M's paper packs of 50 sheets for 3.99. That's all I use.

I use the M's paper as well....Recollections. It cuts perfectly in my E2, and works great with my Xyron Creatopia.....which is what I use to emboss. It is sold in packs, and by the sheet, and has a wide range of colors. I always stock up when M's has it on sale 5 sheets of the 12X12 for $1.00, and 3 or 4 packs of the 8X10 for $10. I have never gotten the Bazzil or Core'dinations paper to cut well in my machine. Oh, and the Recollections paper has a colored core, not white like some comparably priced papers. HTH. I have had no trouble with the packs from Michael's. I do NOT like the solid color open stock paper from Hobby Lobby. My machines just chew it up. Tonight I tried again with some new paper that I'd bought. It was horrible. I then put in a plain card stock from Michaels and without changing the blade or adjusting any of the settings the cut was perfectly clean. Luckily I saved my receipt and I'm taking that crummy paper back.

I checked my J's yesterday and all they had of open stock is Core'dinations. I am planning to go to town tomorrow and will see if M's will price match. Like I said, I am really low on all colors and want some of the 'other' shades of paper. Not just the plain reds and blues!!!

AC Cardstock is my fav and this is where I order. She has every color imaginable and I especially like to order the coordinated seasonal color packs. The packs come in 60 sheets around $14.00. (.24cents/sheet) Shipping is fast and she always includes some cute emblishments free with order. I think shipping is free over $50.00. I LOVE the AC cardstock as well!
None of the solid CS recommended here are bound in a pad, so you don't have to worry about that!
Only DCWV is, that I know of, and that is white core - blech!

I found out from some of my swaps I was involved in this past Christmas that Core'dinations didn't cut too well in my Bug. Recollections cut much better. But Bazzill is my favorite paper so far. I haven't used any others yet, but the ones that I have used Bazzill is the one I really like. JMO

I know I'm a little late to this paper party, but my paper of choice (for my Expression) is the AC Card Stock. I buy it in the seasonal packs. My second favorite is Recollections from Michaels. I tend to by the Recollections in the 8.5 x 11 size so that it's easy to cut it half to make colored A2 card bases. The overwhelming reason that I like these choices (besides the fact that they cut nicely) is the solid color core. I have stopped using ANY paper with a white core. That white core draws attention to itself and if there is the least imperfection on the cut (usually due to operator error in my case), or a sloppy gluing job or other "skill deficiency", the white core becomes a big neon arrow to point people to the boo-boo. I don't need that kind of help ;)

I love American Crafts cardstock in every color but black. For some reason that tends to be more linty. The rest cuts so perfectly everytime and the colors are so pretty!

What is "core"? I am new to the whole paper buying. I would just buy whatever I liked. Also, how can you tell the difference between white and solid color??

Thanks!! Core is the middle of of the paper. If its solid core that means its the same color all the way through. White core is white in the middle, you can tell the difference by looking at the side of the paper it will be white, not colored. Personally I don't care if its white core or solid core. I use it all. lol. Some brands when you buy it by the packs will say on the packs if its white core or solid core.

The only difference though between the ac black and other linty papers is it still will cut good others will just make a disaster. I always do multi 2 times cut with high pressure and either 5 or 6 blade depth. I rarely will get a messed up cut using these settings and ac cardstock

Thanks!! Also if you rip a corner or strip off the paper and see the torn edges is white, you will know it is white core. The solid core looks so much better when you are making a lot of layers to a cut. IMO you get a cleaner looking layerd image without seeing hints of white all around it with solid core papers. Another thing with AC that I like is that one side is textured and the other smooth

My favorite papers for the cricut are Colormates and American Craft.
I have never have good luck cutting the bazzill from Michael's. Reflection multi packs work well. Coridation from Joanne is okay for larger cuts that don't have much detail.
White core paper is good if you want to sand your paper to give a more distressed look.

My favorite, the only solid color cardstock that I use in my machines....CutMates http://www.thepapermills.../worldwin-paper/cutmatesBefore shipping price is only 5.97 for 25 sheets of 8 1/2 X 11 or 6.97 for 25 pk of 12X12.
