I'm thinking of getting a crop a dile and wonder if I should get the regular one or the big bite? Is one any better than the other? I'd appreciate your opinions. Shari

I have both and I find that the original crop o dile works so much better! The big bite tends to smash up my eyelets. I know there were some defective ones but I returned and repurchased and still had the same problem. So my vote is for the original. If you need to set an eyelet in the middle of the page get one of the silent setters:)

I like the big one better. It reaches every size you'll need and I think its easier to use. It sets on the table and is steadier than my hand.

I have both and I use the regular one alot more than the big bite. I guess that I don't punch or set eyelets in the middle of my pages all that often. But I had found the pink Big Bite on clearance at Wal-Mart and I bought it. I would start w/ the little one and see if you really need/want the bigger one.

I have both and I definitely use the hand one much more. I think I've only used the Big Bite a couple of times. The pink one is easier to grab when you need it. If you do alot of embellishing that is not on the edge of our paper then you probably want the Big Bite.

I use both! I use the small one for punching in odd places or on odd things...clip boards, tin etc. I use the big bite when I am punching multiple pages for a book.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. It sounds like the smaller one is what I'll start with. I'm having a little giveaway on my blog if you'd like to enter. Shari

I purchased the Big Bite and found that it was smashing the eyelets. The company had me return the product to them and they replaced it immediately. Great customer service and the new one works so well.

I have both and use both. I love my big bite for punching through weird stuff like bottle caps and such. it takes a little practice not to smash your eyelets... that is a matter of pressure since there is so much leverage on the BB

I like the big one better. It does smash the eyelets sometimes, but practicing helps with that. I love the fact that it can punch a hole through a CD without cracking it.

Our Walmart also has had the Cropadile on sale for $10.00 all summer. I have both the cropadile and the Big Bite.....and use them both all the time. It does take a little practice...I was smashing my eyelets flat at first until I got the hang of it. You'll be glad you bought it.
