Looks like I'm not the only one coming off of a busy past few days! Not much posting going on! lol
This is always such a busy time of year for me - from getting the christmas stuff all squared away to doing returns, spending giftcards and then my DH's bday too.
We had summer like weather on Sunday so that was my day to travel to one of my favorite shopping areas. Left around noon and didn't get home til almost 9PM! lol But that's cuz I finished off the night with grocery shopping too.
I hit all the craft stores, even though I swear I really don't need a darn thing! But, like COB, needed to spend my ACM bonus money.
I did buy myself a new CB with money from DH. Mine has seen better days and one endcap has cracked and now keeps popping off and it's a pain.... So decided a new one would be a plus for me! I really need 2 anyway, when the older girls are here in the summer. IT's no fun for one to watch the other work the CB machine! lol They want to do it at same time together!
But my biggest happy moment was when I found the same tray on clearance that I had used to make coyotekim the altered coffee tray in another swap. Now I have one to alter for myself! Not coffee though....
I had been kicking myself for 3 months now for not buying more when I discovered them on clearance at J's at a different city. Why is it that we never buy enough of a good deal????? lol Of course, at the time, I had no clue that I was going to end up having so much fun altering it! lol
Anyway, some of you are playing in the RAK threads and so I wonder if you are like me now....you read where someone asks for a certain color, ie navy blue, so you walk up and down the craft aisles looking for that color? What I consider to be true Navy Blue CS is next to impossible to find! lol
And then godot's girl was asking for pinks, but not baby pinks...well I already had her pkg. ready to go, but I still found myself seeking out different shades of pink....
The good thing about all this is that it makes you slow down and really study everything in the aisles and sometimes you see stuff you never noticed before! (like I need a reason to buy anything more....) But still, it is fun to go on these little secret missions - beats being at home and cleaning, right?
So this weekend I really need to buckle down and work on this swap here!
Hope you all are having a fantastic week! Get your work done this week so you can craft this weekend!!

Hi to all~ Just checking in to see what everyone is up to...
Gwynne~ I went to J's, M's and HL over the weekend too. J's had some really great 3-D embellies for 97cents. I bought way more than I needed. But I did need several things for upcoming swaps. I also got lots of $1 things at M's that were Spring/Easter related too! I love getting great buys.
Hope everyone is having a great day

Hi Evelyn! I think I have one item plotted out but 10 ideas running through my head! Some questions for you to help me narrow some things down =) 1. Do you use copic or another marker to color your images? 2. If so how do you catalog your markers? 3. How do you store your markers? 4. What cardtock do you use for your images? 5. What is your favorite line of stamps? 6. Do you have a craft room or space? 7. What is your favorite treat/snack? 8. Do you drink coffee, tea, hot chocolate? 9. Are you more of a scrapbooker or cardmaker? 10. How do you keep up with your projects that are in progress? Ha ha ......I think that that is all for now Have a great night all! I am waiting for one thing to be delivered and then I can finish. I am sitting here slathered in lotion because my psoriasis has decided that it has not made an appearance in a while and this was a good time. UGH.....My doctor has been hesitant to use steroidal cream because I am a diabetic and is worried about blood sugar spikes. I am already on a Biologic for Rheumatoid Arthritis so I can use the one the say helps with it, so I am using eucerin and Gold Bond and if worse comes to worse I will wear long sleeve, high collared clothes.
Hope everyone has a crafty Wednesday.

You can mail anytime you want to!
Like I think I said, the sooner the better - especially if sending wintery items or snowmen, etc.

Well, I had to renew my passport ... and they take your current one ... so I can't go craft shopping for at least two weeks ... which does give me more time to craft, so I should get a lot done this weekend

Need to finalize the 3rd item...have a few ideas. Went into town today and got some deals at the LSS..just found out the store is closing. This was the only LSS in town This store had all the great paper and goodies that M's/J's do not carry. Sad to see it close. Ali

Candy, that's too bad they take your old passport! For someone like you that crosses the border all the time...that is a hardship! lol
Ali, too bad the LSS is closing....you will miss that store when it comes to swaps!

Thanks for checking in all.
It's not that I'm worried about someone flaking...I'm just trying to get you all in the habit of checking in to make it easier on us all. This MB's habit of giving us fits seems to hit at the worst times for one of us or the other.
Several times this week I've gone to post or sign in and it says error....but I just backtrack and try it again and then it works just fine and posts my message, etc. So if you get a error message, don't give up, just re-try. It might work the next time.
WooHoo! It's Friday! Gotta love Fridays....

Just checking in for the weekend. In addition to the youngest being in a sling, he also was diagnosed with Bronchitis yesterday. 5 days of antibiotic and Albuterol via inhaler 4 times a day for 5 days. I kept him home Wednesday, Thursday, and today. He is off Monday for MLK day. Thankfully out school district has a home access center, where you can get all the homework and classwork for that particular day. Will get back to crafting tomorrow. His barky cough i subsiding and I should be able to sleep tonight. Have a great weekend all...

I don't know what's wrong with this MB, but it's really annoying me these days ... I hate having to clear my cookies, cause then there are a whole bunch of things I need to reset ... I should get all my other swaps completed this weekend, and then it will be time to start thinking seriously about this one

I'm about an hour away from any craft stores. I'm going to miss not being able get the speciality papers the LSS carried. I'm interested in when your LSS gets her online store up and running.
I've been having mb errors as well ... very frustrating.

Is it still considered a local LSS if it's 45 mins. away? If so, I have one but I've never been there cuz' it's 45 mins. away...

JCI -- I have all my materials and am working on my project this weekend. This is one of my favorite swaps and I can't wait to get it done. I think this one is going to be neat because my partner was really good at giving me some great information and that made it real easy to get it all pulled together. So, off to my craft room to see what happens.

I guess it's all relative to how you think about driving ... I consider I have 3 LSS's one is about 25 minutes west, one is about 25 minutes east (although this one is more a stamp store) and one is about 45 minutes southeast and in a different country And again we get to pricing ... the Recollections 19.99 pads are 29.99 in Canada ... the Bobunny packs that are 19.99 are 21.99 in my Canadian LSS ... so I don't mind buying designer paper in Canada, I just won't buy box store brands ... I really wish someone could explain pricing to me ... and Canadian made beer is cheaper in the US ...

well we don't even have LSS's at all around here! So consider yourselves all very lucky if you can drive 45 mins. to get to one! lol I suspect I could find one a couple hours away, but I've never researched. Today is probably last day of sale at J's, but did you all realize that TH products are 50% off this week? Or maybe the sale just started yesterday for their special weekend winter sale....But 50% off!!! I ended up buying a couple dies that I liked after getting embellished examples in the diecut swaps I did this past Fall. (the bare tree and the hanging sign) And I picked up grungepaper packs cuz I love working with his grunge paper and the diecuts. Oh, and he now has out mini gears....or atleast they were new to me. So he has the regular sized gears and the mini ones. Plus M's has some of his stuff clearanced too. So it's a great day to do some shopping if you like TH products and have those stores in your area or can order online at J's (if the sale is online too, that is). There are a lot of good deals at J's for 50% off - if your store has a good stash on hand. Edited to say that I just checked online and the J's sales online are not as good as what I found at the my J's last night....as far as dies goes. JCI, I am finishing on my spool swap then I can really get into this one. I have everything I need and parts of it done so it shouldn't take very long with some dedicated time.
I've been itching to work on this because I am trying out a new technique for me and can't wait to see how it turns out.
