I have a new laptop with windows 8 on it and i cant seem to get my circut mini to work on . The circut mini set up with no trouble on my aunts computer and its a older laptop. Has anyone else had trouble with this? Im new to circut also.

Are you using Cricut Sync or CCR? For both of those programs you'll need to run them in Windows 7 compatibility mode and as an administrator. Right click on the Cricut Sync icon on the desktop then select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab then make the following changes and select Apply:  Do the same for the CCR icon. Hopefully that will help.

ok so that worked for me. now I cant get my cricut mini hardrive to work. It keeps giving me a failure to install harddrive.
