I have a Cricut Expression. I am trying to use smaller paper. I have loaded my mat and positioned that blade to the right hand corner of the paper. The press set paper button. When I do this it shows a different paper size. I have a 8x8 paper in the machine. HELP!! What am I doing worng?

I use all sorts of sizes on my mat with my Expression and i never change the size,i just make sure what i'm cutting will fit on the piece of paper that i'm using. Now if i'm using the 12x24 mat i will change the size to that.

I never use my machine as a stand alone so not sure how this works but according to my E booklet, you need to put the paper in the lower left hand corner of the mat, load and then move your blade to the upper right corner of the paper and then set paper size. Sounds like you may not be starting your paper in the lower left hand corner of the mat. Check this and let us know. Edited by user Friday, December 28, 2012 2:25:19 PM(UTC)
