Those silhouettes remind me of horror films for some reason. Creepy little soul-less children hahaha Oh and see I was going to invite you over to watch Children of the Corn. LOL I do not get that new one Christmas Village. I don't get the point of this one.

From way back when I've never been a big fan of Doodlecharms, such blah shapes!
From the new lots I don't like all the birds and owls, it's just not me...and then I go and see card after card with owls on them lately and think...maybe! hehe
I loved Paper Pups when I first got it (when first released) but have really never used it since! Most of the stuff on Fabulous Finds is useless, and I never use Tags,Bags.
The most useless though are most of the Classmates carts...who even owns the "..of words" carts, I have one, might have to dig it out to teach my 18 month old to read soon but seriously..
I now have 102 carts and have many many I have never used...and want more! hehe

A Child's Year and that bird cart. A Child's years has always creeped me out. Besides that there are many carts that I just dont want. No thanks. I still love all the older carts. There is variety and substanciality on a lot of them. The newer ones are kinda more of the same.

I thought I wouldn't ever use create a critter but then I saw a card made using the camera on it. Wow , she did an awesome job. So I bought it and made the camera for a friend of mine that we call Photobetty. I have made so many other cards using this cart since then, even bought the peachy keen stamps to go with it and Robins stamps also. So never say never. Until you jump into a cart and see what all is on it you just never know. Of course if you don't do that you can save some money.

scrappinintoronto wrote:I love this thread. First of all I drool over all my carts. Most of them I use- some more than others. My favs are create a critter and life is a beach. So what do I not like. Well it would be blasphemous (please correct spelling if necessary)to dislike any of them. The only one that I like less than the others is opposites attract. Maybe I should make an effort to use it next. Not likely when I have 174 that I like. Arlene YOU have 174 carts??? Wow !!!!!!!!! You are my hero!

I like the silhouette carts! I think they look classic. Some of the early carts I got like Doodlebug and Animal Kingdom I wouldn't get now.

The last few Hello Thursdays have been blah for me. Haven't seen anything on any of the new carts that I need.

While I'm not a fan of the sillouette's on a Child's Year (yes they are creepy) the font is one of my favorites!! Obsessed with that font! Try it out.

I was all excited about Paper Pups but i don't use it that often. In my case i'd give it away and then find a use for it.
i remember when everyone was talking about TBBM i couldn't understnad why it was so popular. . . now i think i get it and it's been retired Of course this came about last halloween when i made treat bags for my neighbor's kids and i liked the idea of doing it. Now i'm into boxes.

Both of the CM carts. I am just not impressed with.
I'm still debating on the 2010 Holiday Seasonal Carts. I loved the 2009 Holiday set, but not wild about these.

Oh, there's plenty of them! I'm not the type to be enabled like that. I look through, mull it over and over. Debate with myself.

I like them all! I don't have all of them and don't use all the ones I have, but I like the variety. It's great when I'm in DS and look for an image and find the perfect one and then. . .I have that cart! Now, I may have to cut open that cart, but it's great that I have it!

I don't really get the Indie Art one. It has a hand grenade and a mushroom cloud--not things I would ever use on any project.
There are others I don't particularly want to buy, but I don't necessarily dislike them. I have some that I never use like Stretch Your Imagination, but that one I didn't buy--it was a gift.
Ones I would not have purchased if I had it to do over: Christmas Cheer, Celebrations, Accent Essentials, Summer in Paris, Zooballoo, Animal Kingdom, and A Child's Year. They're OK. I just don't find myself using them much.

I can't get into carts with mainly flourishes or scrolls on them. As for the Lites, I only like a few of them.

I love my cartridges...have I used all of them...no but I love it when I need a certain cut and my Gypsy tells me it is on one of those cartridges. One I am sure I will never buy...A Child's Year. Unless of course the font is as good as the previous poster said it is

I don't get Mini Monsters... what's up with all their arms stuck out... you would think they could have given them different poses. Also bought Graphically Speaking for cheap, but havent been able to make it "fit" any of my layouts. Child's Year is one of my favorites, very old fashioned looking. And I agree with the others on fruits and veggies with faces... I have that same problem with some of the images on Create a Critter... like who wants a tree stump with a face?

I love my PDDU, I use alot of the extras, and soon I'll be posting the little monsters I made for my grandkids. Seems lime WIMG and Doodlecharms always make a comeback at the holiday season. I have going places and I just can't stand it. I'm with you all on the ACY, creeps me out...I'm not much of an impulse buyer either.

I only have two boys at home, so anything super girly doesn't interest me. I'm not even that girly! I prefer Dude! and Indie Art for myself, as well as for my boys.
I also don't like all the birds and owls... well gosh, that's just about half the carts, now isn't it??? [/sarcasm]
Can't remember who said it, but I'm not wow'd by this years' holiday carts either. I bought two from last year and will most likely use those this year (really was hoping for something more for Thanksgiving).
I totally LOL at the So Cal comment about fall! I live in NorCal so we have a small fall season (which at this moment is a delayed summer).
now that I'm thinking about it, I'm at work so I can't look it up but is there a cart with different realistic leaf cuts?

I truly enjoyed reading all these responses. Some of you may know my dilemma of attending a crop and a box of 15 of my carts didn't make it home with me. I have a whole new appreciation for each and every cart I own. I have tried to prioritize in what order I am going to replace. And thanks to many of you I have been offered and purchased a few. I still have hope they will turn up, but in the meantime like I said I have a whole new appreciation for them all.

Poor "A Child's Year"! I think it's my favorite cart. Or at least in the Top 5. As for ones that I actually have and got caught up in the hype in buying... Once Upon a Princess. Meh.

I agree with those of you that love A Child's Year. I have to say when scrapping for kids it is one of my favorites. I also love my paper doll carts I do use the dolls and all the extra's too. I know I own alot of carts I haven't used, but I am sure one day i will. I am sure all of us have been caught up in the hype of carts and done some impulsive buying but isn't that what this MB is for I agree with those of you about the birds, owls etc. No use for those. I love my carts and I will use them all, ONE DAY!!

flywhistle wrote:Simply Charmed -- there's a whole raft of stuff on that cart that should NOT have a face!!!! Creepy! (I may end up buying it, and I'll just give the hide/contour button on the Gypsy a workout!) I wonder why they gave all those great images FACES????? Somebody in the design area is absolutely certifiable! I agree! I don't like the faces on items that don't have faces in real life!! I don't have many carts and I really study them before I buy them but there are lots that I see other people use and think they're adorable and if I had the funds, I'm sure I would have a very large stack of unused carts! I'm also not into birds and critters so a lot of the most recent carts aren't for me. Edited by user Tuesday, September 28, 2010 12:51:02 PM(UTC)

I think I am one of the few that absolutely loves all my carts (all l50+ of them) ... hmmmm ... well that's not entirely true ... I love Jasmine, but I admit I don't use it much because the letters need to be cut so large to really turn out nice ... Ohhhh, and Dinosaur Tracks ... what was I thinking? I don't even like Dinosaurs , but I do use other cuts on it ... like the background pieces (mountains, palm trees, etc.).

SYI, I thought it was so cute, but I have never been able to get anything to cut out nicely. I usually ruin a bunch of paper, get frustrated and grab a different cart for the cut anyway! Urg, I should have saved my money and got a different cart!
