I know this has probably been asked before...can you cut foam sheets using the heavy duty blade?

Yes. Go to AboveRubiesStudio.com and she has a downloadable cheat sheet that gives you all the details. You will need a deep blade housing and blade. I cut out quite a few letters for a sign board with it. Worked well. Will leave foam dust on your mat, but I just used a baby wipe and the spatula and it cleaned up well. Took a little elbow grease, but was useable when I was done.
