Loving the spools I've seen the last couple of days. I had a few pages to go through to find all of them! Kel- love the dress form with all of the accessories. You better hide that from me! Scrappydew- I think Cindy said it... "Holy bananas!!" That is beautiful with the butterflies. So pretty! Jean- love the valentine charm vibe to your spools. So cute! ksqueenb- I am a sucker for snowmen! That little guy on top of your spool is so cute! Great job ladies! We should be seeing more this next week. Can't wait! I love you you incorporated a spool into a calender. The butterflies and paper are just amazing. All the little details make it special!

What I love most about the spools I am seeing, is that it is evident that all were executed with skill and caring. They are thoughtful and not of the slam, bam, variety. Edited by user Thursday, January 31, 2013 4:51:02 PM(UTC)

I only have the one picture so hopefully she has found her camera card and will post a better one I put myself on a buying ban so I used what I had in my stash. I found 3 different size spools, decorated each one and then attached them together using beads strands like you would make for chunky charms. You can't really see it but I used perfect pearls and glimmer mist on the spools also. Jean, this is so original! I would have never thought to string them together like that.

dc# for caffinee - dc 9500 1000 2316 3031 0003 74
As you can tell from all the wonderful pictures, you don't have to spend a lot to send a great swap. With a few supplies, some imagination, and some wonderful details you can turn an ordinary item into something special.

Thank you, I used Plaid folkArt texture paint to make the spool snow covered. I have it in Snow White and Icy White. (The icy white has more of a blue look to it.)

Thanks for sharing pictures ladies. Great projects, some that I would never thought of. This was a swap that really made me think out of the box, I am really a layout and mini album type of girl.
Think I will have to pass on the next round, my job is really busy right now, and I might be taking a trip to India for work. That's a scrapbook opportunity for sure! My husband is off to the Superbowl. 4 days to myself, lots of scrapbook friends tomorrow, Superbowl party on Sunday, work on Monday, and off to Atlanta on Tuesday. Guess not much time to myself.. But it will be a fun time
