I want to cut out a 2 word phrase but can't wrap my brain around whether or not the letters have to be welded together or if the middle layer holds the letters into place? I have bought a package of the Cricut brand vinyl and its got a total of 3 layers. I saw another post that I thought answered my question but they used the term 'weeded' and I don't know what that means.

To weed means to take away the negative parts of the cut (the parts you don't use). The letters don't "have" to be welded. You can do whatever you want.
