It's possible the anti-virus software on your PC did an update and is now blocking CCR. You might try adding CCRBridge.exe and Cricut-CraftRoom.exe as exemptions in the a/v program.

Hello Cassie! The error you are receiving is caused when the antivirus blocks the program from working. There are several types of antivirus, we recommend calling your provider and having them help you add these programs into your exceptions: • Cricut Sync • Cricut Craft Room CCRBRIDGE.EXE (this needs to be added from both the Cricut Sync program files folder and the Cricut Craft Room program files folder Please contact customer service if this does not fix your issue! -CricutGena

This is all very frustrating! I can't go past the initializing stage either- have tried just about everything! Why does this need to be so difficult? I have windows 8, does this have anything to do with it? Please help!

You need to change your screen resolution because below the video is a box to not show the video again that you aren't seeing.

Mine wont go past the initializing screen either. I have windows 8 and when I click on properties, it doesnt show me the screen you showed. I dont have a Compability tab! Strange or am I in the wrong window. I went to Norton's firewall, and both the CCRbridg and the Cricut Craft Room are set to allow but it's still just initializing. Renee-Ann

Renee-Ann Hello, you will need to right click on the icon, the choose properties. Then you will see the Compatibility tab. I hope this helps! -Cricut Gena

This post was so helpful to me. I did update my virus protection and CCR would not work. Now, I know why! Thanks
