I have seen cartridges for sale on some sites and some of them are linked. What does that mean?

It means the carts are linked to a Gypsy. If you should buy someone's linked cartridge, you can't link it to your Gypsy, if you have one.

You can still use it in the CCR but you can't link it to CCR. You just need to insert the cartridge into your machine when prompted.

The biggest difference is that someone has linked it either to their gypsy or CCR account and then you no longer have the ability to link it to yours. Then you have to always have the physical cartridge to make the cut. I don't know how it impacts when you have changed a cut design with the software in the gypsy or ccr as I personally don't have any linked cartridges. HTH
