hi, deciding on what cricut to get as a xmas gift for a family member. But, does the mini also use the carts from the expression? or do you have to buy mini carts to use with it??? A lot of family members have the reg carts - and I need to get a cricut that will be able to use the reg carts with it also. thanks for your help. Does the Cake cricut also cut chocolate?????

Luv my mini. uses the reg carts
DIL will sell you her cake cricut...just because she doesn't use it.

Just be aware that if you go with the Mini, the user will need to be connected to Cricut Craft Room via the internet. The Mini does use the regular cartridges, but all the designing and cutting need to be done through Cricut Craft Room, or a Gypsy. Not sure what you are asking about cutting chocolate?
