I am able to link cartridges in CCR that are already linked to a Gypsy. This is new and has a long agreement that you must accept. Has anyone else linked their cartridges and if so, would you please just tell me what you think the agreement says. I am rather confused by what it means. Thank you.

Ooh I hope this will work for me. I will have to test it out tomorrow.

I'm not sure how you're getting that to work. The Gypsy linking function isn't active yet and if I attempt to link one of the carts that are linked to my Gypsy I still get a message saying it has already been linked.

Narelle, I'm not sure either. I just push the link button in the CCR and it works. Did you try several different cartridges?

I just read one of the messages from 29 days ago that said the CCR was updated on Oct 18th and it had to do with linking catridges. Make sure that you have the latest updates.

Make sure that you have the latest updates. Even with the latest updates, no one can link a cart to CCR that has already been linked to a Gypsy. Everyone should be able to link carts that aren't linked to a Gypsy to CCR. These are the Release Notes from Oct 18 {which did add the function of linking via the Personal model}: CRICUT CRAFT ROOM® UPDATE: OCTOBER 18, 2012
Firmware update for Cricut Create® machine allowing standalone use and compatibility with the Cricut Craft Room® design software Firmware update for Cricut® Personal Cutter enabling cartridge linking Improved Cricut Expression® 2 cartridge detection reliability New project layers now add in front of existing layers Minor bug fixes and improvementsIf you are able to link a cart that was first linked to a Gypsy, there are thousands of us that would like to know how!

Granny510....maybe you just THOUGHT you had it linked to your GYPSY. Maybe you forgot to link it when you bought it? Just trying to figure out why you can do this and noone else can. Lucky you, if you are able to do that.

Ok Ladies, my bad, I guess I did link 3 cartridges that are not linked to a gypsy. When I tried several others, it didnot work. Oh Darn!

I so wished this worked! My gypsy is broken and I am so lost without it and decided the craft room could be used while I waited to get a new one. I don't understand what is taking them so long! I don't want to have to do everything the old school way...
