I've only had my Cricut for a week and already the mat is unusable. It isn't sticky and the ends are bent meaning I don't get a good cut - what should I do?? Edited by user Thursday, November 29, 2012 9:57:19 AM(UTC)

Run some hot water over it and let it dry,it may just need to be reactivated. Put something heavy on it to get the bend out.

I clean my mats with dish soap and hot water, scrubbing off the paper bits with a nail brush (like for manicures). Let it air dry, and it should be sticky again. Certain paper leaves a lot of lint, like mulberry paper, so I avoid using it in my Cricut unless I want to clean the mat after I cut it. The bent edges are from running it into the machine not perfectly straight. I rotate the mat, so the moe bent edge can straighten out a bit

At some point you're going to have to invest in some new mats. The newest mats have a Cricut across the front and are much better than the old one. So make sure you get those.
