can anyone tell me if the wifi will eventually be compatible with CCR or gypsy? if i understand correctly, for $35 all you get is wifi for updates? seems pricey for such little function!

It's already compatible with CCR. You can cut wirelessly using the wifi device. It does cut slower that way for me though. But it definitely works.
