I received in the mail today the "Letter Envy Font" cartridge that I ordered from cricut.com just Monday...Thanks Provo Craft for the great service! Ventured out into the masses shopping on Black Friday about 7am missing most of the huge huge crowds and got some great deals including all socks at one store 50% off. Ended up with 3 dozen to give away as Christmas stocking stuffers. My greatest savings occurred yesterday at Michaels which opened at 4pm getting everything 80% off (50% sale price plus their 30% off sale coupon) plus cartridges at $19.99 and $24.99.

Here's hoping you all had the same luck shopping the last two days.

I had a nice shopping Black Friday also. Didn't do a lot, but got some deals. Wasn't in the crowds because I didn't go until 7:00 in the morning!

Michaels did have a good deal on Thursday, but just so you know, it wasn't 80% off. ;-)

The 30% is applied after they already take the 80% off. So you get 30% off of the 80% off total.

Pretend you bought 2 things, that were $50.00 and 1/2 off.

With the 50%, you spent 25.00 (x 2) = $50.00

THEN they take the 30% off your total= 15.00 off TOTAL= $35

80% of 100 would have left you with only a $20 total... not $35.

Sorry if that's confusing. It's much easier when you are standing in front of your chalk board. Flapper

Either way, still a good deal, and I bought quite a few things myself as well. ;-)

I didn't go until Friday around 9:30--hardly any crowds-well, except for at Best Buy, which I quickly exited.

I got some great deals at Micheals, it was amazing--actually saved more than I spent. I was able to get my first Ott Light, the one on sale for $17, I got a caddy, the Folk Art cart and some shadow boxes.

Big Lots had the full size Cricut Cakes for $100, which was very tempting.
AC Moore was very dissapointing, no real sales.

Besides that I hit up Walmart as it was the only place I could find the 12x12 cricut mats; all the craft stores were sold out.
Victoria's secret didn't have any better deals than they usually have, so that wasn't exceptionally great either.

All in all, I'm making more gifts than buying this year. The only one to gain anything from the Black Friday deals seemed to be ME (from Michaels) Laugh LOL Laugh LOL Laugh !!

I was somewhat disappointed in ACMoore too, but picked up two carts at Michael's (after watching the Walmart protests next door for awhile). Have had company all week and am tired now, but hope to play with those two soon. Our mall was a nightmare (as expected), so did more walking around there than shopping.
