I have been merrily cutting out boxes all evening.... then all of a sudden it starts moving the card on the mat, destroying the cutting and wasting my cardstock :(
Any ideas? The mat still feels sticky to touch...

I'm not sure which mat you are using. The mats for the Expression, E2 and Imagine aren't very good. The old mats were much better. Anyway, when I start having trouble with the cardstock I just pull out the blue painters/masking tape and tape the mat down. Just barely tape the edge of the paper with 2 inch pieces. I usually tape it on 2 or 3 sides. The tape peels off easily and I reuse on the next cut.

Blue painter's tape to tape down paper on mat. Wow. So that's why I found this tape in my craft stuff and had forgotten what it was there for. I tried a trick someone told me about that does help to clean the mats off so they stick better.......baby wipes. After wiping all the "paper fuzz" off the mats use your hands and start putting "hand prints" over the mat to make sticky again.

I also find when paper isn't sticking to mat very well to slow down the cutting speed.

it didn't take long for the mat that came with the machine to lose its stick. i have been having the same problem. since you are using the craftoom to cut, try posting your images in the center of the mat and other places that you rarely use. the idea using tape works but i never had any on hand. there is a product sold at ?joann's called that you can spray on the mat to resticky it. baby wipes work well too.
