Is anyone else having an issue with the top plastic of their E not opening easily? I feel like it is going to break off when I try to open it lately? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Mine doesn't open easily either. I don't know why but it never did. It's just short of breaking finger nails. Since i don't see what it catches on I can't figure this one out either. Any ideas out there?

Mine's always been like that too. I do see where mine catches, I just don't know how to make it let go. I feel like I'm going to break the lid evey time I open the thing but I've had it over 3 yrs now and it's fine so I don't worry about it anymore.

I've had mine for about 18 months and it pops loudly everytime I open it. For a while I was scared I'd break the lid off, but now I'm just use to it. I know what it catches on, but for the life of me I can't figure our how to stop it aside from cutting off the little plastic things. I may do that...

Mine does the same thing.  I read on the old board that someone filed the little tabs that are on the lid and that seemed to work. I haven't tried mine yet. Cindy
