let me also say that the pix i posted above of the side-by-side comparison was one punch with the cinch and then closing the wires.
it was 3 punches with the bia and you can see the bottom and top are not even.

I have had my BIA for 2 years & I was very happy with it until I saw a video about the Cinch. I now have both machines & I much prefer the Cinch. Almost all of my projects need more than 6 holes so the Cinch is much easier for me to use & I have enough room in my scrap space to keep it out all of the time (it is much larger than the BIA). I also think it does a better job with closing the wires. My BIA was great as long as I only used 6 holes but when I bound a project with more then that I ended up with the wires being uneven & not at all round. I think both machines work well but for me the Cinch is the better option. I hope this helps.

I have the Cinch and love it. You have to practice closing the wires, but it's not too bad. Also WeRMemory Keepers is coming out with spiral wires in a variety of colors. I don't think you'll be able to use those with BIA holes because they're not round. I'm psyched for those to finally appear!

I think I will mostly be binding mini albums and small things...is there one that works better with small stuff?
I don't think my JoAnns sells the CInch. It's not one of the big stores, it's a TINY old one that is mostly fabric :( My HL carries it but I only have a 40% off coupon for them this week and they don't take Js coupons.

I had a BIA but sold it before ever using it. Now I'm getting into art journaling and would love a binding machine but I'm stuck on the decision making process. I do like that the Cinch is pink. Most craft companies make a machine in blue only to hook you on the second PINK release. ATG Slice Cricut CropADile BIA Dreamkutz. Insane

This is one of those things I thought I had to have, but have never used. I use the comb binder at my school all the time for making large books. Never have used the bind-it-all .
