I have watched you tube, and demos. I have read the cricut forums. Peole love the cinch, but some wouldn't have the cince because of the holes it punches. They like the squares. My big issue is that on you tube there is a video about how bad the cinch closes the o wires. It makes it egg shaped. Do they really look bad? They were awful on the demo. Also, does HL sell the cince or the bind it all?

I have both the Cinch and the Bind It All. Neither are perfect but either will do a decent job. I think the Cinch is easier to punch with but you're right...it is difficult to get the wires to close perfectly round. I think it's probably user error.
With the Bind It All, it's harder for me to figure out hole placement sometimes.

In all fairness, I am math challenged so I'm sure lots of other people have not problems with the BIA.

I have a BIA. The more I use it the better I become at using it. I had an ahha moment over the weekend when I saw a video on the Pink Stamper website. Karley was using her BIA and I actually learned a lot.

I have a BIA and so far I am finding that practice makes perfect. I'm still not getting perfect results.... but they are better than some of my first projects. LOL! Laugh

I have a BIA and love it but lately have been unable to find wires at my LSS or Hobby Lobby. Both are now carrying cinch wires. Is it me or are they a little flimsier than the BIA wires? I had to buy some to use with my BIA and they closed to more of an oval shape than round. I tried it three times and each one was warped.

I have a BIA (got it last spring) and I have been very happy with it. At the time, it was the only binding machine I could find locally (well within 50 miles!) and it was at HL. A couple of weeks ago I was there, and I saw that they also have a cinch.

I do like the square holes better, but I understand that with a cinch you can set it to do fewer holes. But that is OK. I like my BIA, and I think I do pretty good with it!

I love my BIA. Got it at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. Great deal. I watched the videos on their website and found it not too hard to use if you use the guides on the machine.

I purchased my Cinch at the new Hobby Lobby in Orlando. Used a coupon so the cost was great. They may be out of stock due to grand opening.

I've been wanting to get a binding machine for mini albums and I was on the fence too. I've been doing a lot of research online and on YouTube and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the BIA instead of the Cinch. While the Cinch looks a little more "user friendly", I don't like the look of the o-rings after you bind them. In my opinion the square BIA holes are more professional looking.

Another big point for me is that the BIA is cheaper, and I can use a coupon at HL! They have a 40% coupon this week, so this may be the week I finally get my BIA :)

I have a BIA and LoveLOVE Love it. I did get the chance to use the cinch and found it to be easier to punch the holes but it does not seem as sturdy. I also do not like how the wire "cinch" together with that machine.

I have the blue BIA and it takes practice and watching a few videos- there's def a learning curve.
However the more I use it the more I like it. I love love the fact that I can make mini books to sell and they look professionally finished.

I haven't tried the cinch o rings so I don't know how well it works with the BIA, but I can tell you that my HL was putting the 3/4 size of the BIA rings on clearance. There are many places on line that sell the o rings just make sure you get the ones that are 2:1 pitch or 21 loop wires so they work with the holes you punch out on the BIA.
Note some of the places that sell the rings the length is up to 11 inches, if that's an issue with you make sure you get them for 12 inches.

I have the BIA and have had it ever since it first came out. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!, got ready to buy the pink one and looked at the cinch but since I had one before, was a no brainer. I keep a good stock of wires on hand. Not to say the Cinch is not good, I just love my BIA!

I too am on the fence. I have watched some videos on the cinch and really like it. I want to get one but so far neither M or HL sell them around here. But lately I have been wondering if I have to settle for the BIA. Maybe one of the these stores will get it around here soon. Laugh

Niki can I ask what you like about the Cinch and not about the BIA? I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible. My Hobby Lobby sells both the Cinch and BIA, it's just deciding which to get!

I have the BIA and the HL by me has the BIA and the Cinch now. I really want to order the cinch because I am not happy with my BIA. I'm not sure about the way the wires close on the cinch though.

i have had both the bia's and now have the cinch. i sold the bia's. trying to get the holes right was not fun. doing an album bigger than a few inches was not the easiest thing to do. cinching while the paper/album is standing straight up was a hassle.

the cinch is so much easier. i love it. easier to use, easier to punch, lots of options as far as hole placement. uses bia wires as well so if you like the bia wires better you don't have to use the cinch ones. i've been using up my old bia ones.

both machines are heavy but the cinch is very sturdy and since it is a flatter machine it is much more easy to store as well as use. it's made by the same people who make the cropadile and can punch anything that the cropadile can.

i don't mind the round holes...i don't make anything official and when i bind an album i usually embellish the wires with ribbon so you don't notice the holes anyway.

i had trouble with the wires on the bia not making perfect circles when i closed them..not as much with the cinch, but it is definitely user error on my part. i have seen friends use the cinch and get perfect closures.

my hl sells both the bia and the cinch.

here's a side-by-side; bia on the right, cinch on the left:

Crafty Granny I tried to PM you but it said you were not accepting PMs. So here are my thoughts for whatever they are worth. BigGrin

First, I have to admit that I don't know a whole lot about the BIA.

But I saw some videos on the cinch and fell in love with it. On the videos they punch chipboard, several pieces of cardstock at the same time. It can punch anything that the Crop-a-dile can. It can punch 12x12 size of media (I think they said more but I am not sure). I do like the round holes over the square holes also. I really like the quality of the Crop-a-dile and assume that the cinch will be the same way.

Here is the video tutorial from the We R Memory Keepers webpage: http://www.weronthenet.com/the_cinch_tutorial

I had the BIA and I loved it until I purchased the Cinch. The Cinch is much easier to use in my opinion. I love that I can choose which holes to punch and I do like the circular holes much better than the squares of the BIA. The Cinch is also easier to use as you can lay the project down flat and the BIA you need to hold it up with one hand and punch with the other hand. A little awkward, but gets the job done. I bought my Cinch on the HSN launch and loved it so much I sold my BIA to cover some of the cost of the CInch. you can use the o-wires from the BIA in the cinch as well.
