I am new to CCR and want to open/save the cut instructions that are available for the Rudolph card. I am unable to do so because the file type is .CCR? Does anyone have suggestions on how to open/save the document?

If it's a CCR file then it is the actual cutting file which needs to be imported into CCR. Can you give me a link to where you're seeing the file? Edited by user Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:34:59 AM(UTC)

That particular card is a free one this week. It's listed in CCR as Holiday Card 14. All you need to do is put it on the mat the size you want and cut. Then add a liner and that's it. There is no other assembly. And, the file is a cutting file for CCR like Narelle said. If the file ends in .ccr, it's a cutting file. CCR runs off Adobe Air so that's why you see the Adobe icon {not because it's a PDF}. Edited by user Friday, November 16, 2012 10:27:42 PM(UTC)

If you want to save the instruction that are written on that page, https://www.cricut.com/p...Holiday-Single-Cut-Cardslook under Step by Step How-to instructions" and Click on "View all Directions". Under that it will show all instructions and a red box that says "View Printable PDF". Click on that to open. Then you can save the directions. The Rudolph Card.ccr is a cut file for Cricut Craft Room. You don't need to open it as it is one of the free cuts under "my cartridges" in Cricut Craft Room this week. HTH When in CCR (Cricut Craft Room) make sure you are on relative size (Aa) It's at the bottom. And choose what size you want the card to be before you put it on the mat so all pieces fit together. Would someone please tell me how to put the Rudolph Head together. I got the pieces cut, but have no idea on how to assemble it. I clicked on PDF and still didn't get any instruction.
Please help.

Thanks, Flo There are two of most of the pieces. Those two pieces should be adhered together. This is just to give it some extra thickness I think. For the head profile shape there are 4 identical pieces. Again stick two together and repeat for the other two so that you have two heads profiles which place beside each other (about an inch apart) form the base for the rest of the pieces. Start slotting the oval pieces down into the slots on the head profile. There will be 3 sets of ovals (starting from the front) then the piece with the horns, then two more sets of ovals. The final oval piece you will have goes at the back. Insert the tabs at the back of the head into that oval. The final piece which is the "trophy base" is what you use as a template to trace onto your felt and foam. Cut those out and slot the tabs into that. I found it a bit fiddly but only because I was too impatient to adhere all the layers together first. But I really just wanted to see what it was going to look like! Here's a picture that will hopefully help (you'll see that mine is gappy because I didn't stick anything together):

All the sizing has been done for you to cut as big as will fit on a 12x12 mat. If you want it smaller then select Ctrl A to select everything on all the layers and use the bottom right handle to make all the layers smaller at the same time. http://www.cricut.com/project/project/index/2023
