Hi friends, I love GrandmaJs cut swap and really appreciate and enjoy the generosity shared on here in general. This idea keeps poking me in the brain though... Would anyone be interested in swapping cartridges for a few weeks at a time? That way we could cut to our hearts content and then just trade back when we're finished. I would only trade with people I know and have dealt with on here of course. Only linked cartridges and maybe similar in value to protect ourselves. Any comments or ideas appreciated. Thanks for reading. Same Lauraa, different picture Edited by user Friday, November 02, 2012 1:48:48 PM(UTC)

That sounds very interesting. Would you consider implementing a fee or a down payment? That way it would be similar to renting the cartridge. Everyone's value of their cricut collection varies. For me, I don't have pets, I don't smoke so I would want to make sure my cartridges are residing in a similar environment. I have heard HORROR stories about lending cartridges.
Good luck I hope you find some participants.

Yes, we would have to work something out for insurance on our "babies"
Would it really be so different then trading permanently though? People do that on here all the time with good results.

Although I think the concept in theory is great, but there is just too much risk involved for me. If someone flakes, then someone is out a cartridge. Also if it is an ulinked cartridge, what is to stop someone from linking it without the person's knowledge and it can only be linked once. There are a ton of cut swaps where you can wish for cuts from certain carts and people will will grant you that wish. I am not trying to be negative, but just have been around for a while and letting you know some potential issues. I hope it works well for you though and I wish you success in your swap. I argee with Kelly. There are risks to this in my opnion. I love the concept. but I don't think it is for me. As all of my carts are not linked and I don't want someone to link them while they have them. And there might be someone that would becide to "Flake" and not return the cart to its rightfull owner. Wishing you the best of luck Laura. I just don't think it is for me. Now there are some people I have delt with on here I would have no problems "swaping" carts with but not everyone.
Have fun!!
