I just have to say oh what a month! I know I can vent here and you will understand. It has been ups and downs like a roller coaster. Our first up was my son achieved Superior Honor Roll at school!!! This is the boy who was barely scraping by last year until we finally convinced the school that he has a learning disability. Now that things are in place we are soaring! He is mainstreamed for everything and his teachers have been so supportive and asked for lots of information to help him. (In our family, we don't go for everyday diagnoses - we like the rare ones). We then made progress of getting closer to moving into my parent's old house which is next door to where we currently live. They moved about 5 months ago and we are taking over their old place. Here comes the down. We had flooring installed today and we found 2 huge air bubbles. They are coming back tomorrow to look at it and discuss options. I refuse to let them put a slit in the vinyl that requires a seam. We did most of the prep work ourselves so it is now a disappointment. I retreated to my cricut a few times during the month just to get away. I'm hoping that after the holidays that we get to move and get settled. Julie

GG is in the hospital and has been since the 10th. When she texted me this morning they had just moved her to a regular room from ICU. She had an infection stemming from her health issues. Please keep her in your prayers and if you would like to send a card and need her address pm me and I will get it to you. A card always cheers me up. Especially when it is from some one you never met.
She was going to have Mike try and bring her cricut to the hospital so she could try and catch up on cuts she owes. I told her people will hopefully understand this was out of your control. So if she owes anyone cuts please understand she is trying to get them done ASAP.

Oh my, I hope GG is feeling better. Poor thing. She and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope she doesn't worry herself over doing the promised cuts, she needs to make sure she gets plenty of rest, I'm sure people understand.
Sending cards is an excellent idea Jen. I will try to make one up tomorrow to send to her. I have her address. I am sure she will loved to get some cheerful cards.

It must be the time of year for health scares. I'll have to add all of my "online friends" to my prayer list that they are watched over and spared from health scares.
I do have a positive for a health scare that happened to me a year ago on November 7th. I broke my ankle that day on a broken sidewalk owned by a local business. They claimed that nothing could be done about the sidewalk and they promised to pay for medical bills which never happened, but I wasn't looking for that really. I just wanted the sidewalk that seemed to be that way for years fixed so others didn't do what I did. This past Monday as I drove past the business I saw orange cones around that piece of sidewalk and a few days later there was new flat in-tact sidewalk! I was so excited!!! It didn't pay my bills but I can say that maybe I broke my ankle to make the sidewalk safer for others. I have other theories on reasons my ankle broke when it did since it made me sit for 3 weeks working on getting my son's learning disability identified! God works in mysterious ways!!!
Maybe we need to do an altered index card swap to pass on each other's mailing and contact information such as email address or phone numbers. Each person can put on the information that they feel safe doing and leave off what they don't want on. We could add a small picture to put a name to a face (not thrilled about this as I don't like to have my picture taken), but I'd do it. What do you think?

Janice~ Thanks for letting us know about Sumrbrez.
As we go into the holidays I'll definitely be keeping everyone in my prayers. Stinks to be down with something at this time of the year. Ladies, protect yourselves... I carry hand sanitizer around in my pocket and my car... at this time of year. I use it on the handle of the shopping cart/basket and after I touch anything that might be germy...Seems to be a lot of nasty bugs out there ...there's a horrible stomach virus that's made it's way around our house. DS is down with it now! There's also a nasty nasal virus/bug out there and I'm sure several others. Everyone I know is sick or has been sick at some point since Thanksgiving. I just check my email and had one for godot's girl. She said she is feeling better but is still very weak. She also said if she continues to improve they will let her come home on Monday. So hopefully things go well for her.
