I've read in order to use the cartridges I own that I can 'link' them to my cricut.com account, but I can't find any directions on "how" to link the cartridges to my account. I would like to get them loaded so I can start using them. Once they are linked, do I need the actual cartridge to be able to cut the item out with the Cricut? Thanks, Sandy

You can use your carts without linking them. Just plug the cart in your Cricut and cut.
But, if you want to use Cricut Craft Room or a Gypsy and not have to plug each cart in to cut, then you want to link them.
In CCR, select the cart from the list and then you will have the option to link it {there will be a green LINK button under the keypad}. When you link using CCR, you are actually linking through CCR to your cricut.com account. The carts linked to your cricut.com account will also be activated for use on a gypsy.
Linking to a Gypsy is a different process. When you link a cart to a Gypsy, the serial number of the Gypsy is written onto the cart to prevent it from being linked to another Gypsy. Unfortunately, it also prevents that cart from being linked to CCR.

Nothing will show in My Carts unless it is linked. Use the All Carts {or one of the subcategories} and select the cart from there. But, you can't link a cart to CCR if it's already been linked to a Gypsy.
