I want to be able to weld letters together I went to the store to buy a cartridge to do this and they said there is not one I have the orginal machine and was wondering if I can still do this with this machine? and what type of program do I need and where do I get it?

You will have to use the Cricut Craft Room, see above click on Craft Room, you will have to download that program to your computer and then get a cable to connect your machine to your computer.

You can use any cartridge with letters on it to weld them together. You have to use CCR, Design Studio or Gypsy to weld though.
