I've been doing research on the Silhouette Cameo.
Before I invest in another cutter I'm doing more research.
It is not without problems.
Silhouette Cameo ReviewsThen this company discontinued the Orginal Silhouette and replaced it with the cameo.
What happened to the owners of the Orginal Sihouette?
Can they still get blades/mats for this machine?
The Orginal Silhouette cutter is not without problems either.
Quikutz Silhouette ReviewsThese are the issues I have been reading on the CameoI have read there are print/cut problems
Hardware issues
Issues with paper getting stuck in the blades.
It takes more time to set up then you actually get to use it.
It doesn't cut around the printed image properly.
Some days it cuts the next day it won't cut.
The blades don't last long.
The software media settings are different from what the manual recommends.
The mats are so sticky they ruin your paper and image.
I read the honest reviews that state what the issues are.
And there are issues with this machine too.
Why would I want to buy a Cameo when there are serious issues?
I don't see this cutter any more stable then the Cricut cutters.
I'm not sold on getting the Cameo. I won't buy one just because some hype it up.
I'm not on PC's soap box, defending how they did things, or agree with how they handle things.
But, I can't see investing in another company with problematic machines.
I don't see the cameo as a solution to being able to print/cut either.
ETA: PC I hope you come up with and Imagine 2 to keep the print/cut/cartridge option available with the Cricut. I for one Enjoy my Imagines and with no major problems.
I like the all in one print/cut machine. I don't want what the competition has.
I would have bought it if I did. I like what PC has to offer in the Cricut Product line.
