I was just wondering if there is some way for me to load some custom things into DS so that I can cut them? If not with DS is there some other software out there that I can use to do this?

Nope - Cricut/Provo Craft machines are cartridge based ONLY. Unless you have made a design using elements from Cricut cartridges - there is no way to do this anymore.
You would to use a competitors machine to cut your own designs/fonts.
