I am looking for help and tips on the best way to cut fabric. I am helping with making banners for my church. Right now I am cutting out letters and objects on paper. Then tracing them on fabric and cutting it out. I know that there is away to cut fabric straight from the E2 but I don't know how. Any help, tips, or suggestions are VERY welcome.

Hello, Cutting fabric with the cricut is easy and fun!! What I usually do is use heat n bond or fusible web to stabilize the fabric. You have to iron on the heat n bond or fusible web material. That way you will be able to iron or attach the material to the object or whatever you are making. YouTube has several good videos available as a resource guide. The settings I use are 4-3-4. I also have a friend how is making baptism banners. She is using felt. Will that work as well? Thanks for your help!!

Yes, you can also cut felt in your E2.

One tip: I have a designated mat for fabric..a new, super sticky one. And, I also have a designated blade. GG

From Michelle Kovack: When I use felt, I use a high quality felt that is a "tighter" knit.....like Papertrey Ink's felt. I iron on Heat N Bond and that is the side that faces up. I use a blue painting tape to tape it to the mat. (This mat is specifically for felt after this....because you will have a few stray fibers!) Use your deep cut blade and cut! I try not to pick too intricate of a cut.....the simpler the better.
