Good morning everyone. Thanks for this week's sketches and your very pretty sample cards. I picked out this week's Ad Colors in honor of 9-11. I was inspired by all the flags being flown around our tiny town. [/img]

2-1/2 hours before I leave for the airport... then on to Las Vegas! I will have my iPad so I can keep in touch with you all from there
BingoLady: thanks for hosting! Great sketches and wonderful sample cards... love the fact you use embossing so often, it really does add to the card. Love the colors of all your cards too
DeeScraps: thanks for the Ad colors... I'll have to come up with something for those colors. I just made a shirt with those colors, does that count? LOL

I'll get the rest of the sketches when I get back this Saturday
Sketch 2 Cartridges used: Accent Essentials and Wild CardI've always wanted to use this multi-layer circle cut from Accent Essentials. Each of the rings are popped up only on one side to create a weird effect but you can't really see it from the image

BingoLady, Thanks for Hosting this week and for the nice sketches. Hopng to get them all done very soon....soccer season here again for my dear grandson Joey, so it's going to the soccer fields for all the coming week-ends, for awhile. Also, my Expression seems to need a tune-up, it sounds sick, so not too much Cricut on my cards this week, sorry!
DeeScraps, Thanks for continuing to post the Ad Color Challenge early...it's a big help when deciding which sketch to use them on. What better colors than the good old RED, WHITE and BLUE, especially this week!!
My #2 Sketch Card: Sentiment - "Sophie" Cartridge Butterflies - MS Punches Large Flower - Ordered on-line Leaves - "Stamping" Cartridge Embossing - "Leafy Branches" CB folder I added a smaller flower and button to big flower. Used silver glitter glue on the flower and Butterflies. Sprayed leaves and Butterflies with silver Pearl Mist. The large Butterfly I attached only the glittered head of it to the one petal allowing the Butterfly to wiggle and it appears to "flutter". TFL!! Here is my Ad Color card for this week and I think it's sketch #3. I had these star dies that I've wanted to try, but it didn't come out how I had envisioned the card. It will probably be the only one I'll get done this week as I'm going to be gone for a few days. Have a great weekend. Dee [/img]

Boy our group seems to be dwindling away week after week,so sad as we have so much fun. No reflection I am sure on you or your sketches Bingolady, sometimes life just gets in the way of our crafting. Come one let's have some newbies join us
Well here is my sketch #3 for this week, I actually needed to make a baby card so this worked out perfect. No Cricut, when I made this card my CCR was giving me fits with my Imagine so I turned to shhh (whisper) Cameo, besides we all know that our Cricut can not cut as fine of a line as the white letters are. he he

BingoLady #1 - Very colorful, like the background paper. #2 - Pretty embossed flowers and matching background paper, #3 - Like the striped paper, baby embellies and the pretty blue/brown color combo.
Raquel Hope you have hit the BIG Jackpot in Vegas!! #2 - Love the glittery circles and wavy BG paper. Are the circles all cut at one time, or did you have to run each circle one at a time? Like the effect!
britishgirl #2 - Great Ad Color card and cute Poppies, have never seen this flower cut before, probably cause I don't have the Story Book cartridge. #1 - So pretty in simple black and white color combo. Like the two-tone flourish, it looks three-dimensional. Great sentiment, too!
NanaDonna I doubt it VERY MUCH that you will JUST be SITTING in your fancy room at the Venetian!! #1 - Love it! Pretty BG paper and flourish. Did use use a glaze on the flourish, it looks shiny? #2 - Very nice in the Ad Colors, love the patriotic star and USN sticker. Perfect embossing continues the theme. #3 = So cute!! Love the Baby Bottle tag, did you make the bottom part of the bottle from vellum, it looks like a real plastic baby bottle? The sentiment is VERY crisp and clean. Background paper is too cute!
DeeScraps #3 - Great Ad Color card! Like the assorted layered stars and the cute twine ribbons with the banners at the corners.

Ok I'm back! I didn't gamble at all but I did hit 3 buffets and watched 1 show. We watched Cirque Du Soleil - Zumanity. Great show... it was so funny! For buffets... Bacchanal over at Caesar's Palace (it just opened up this week so that was a great thing to experience), Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan, and of course, the classic Rio buffet
Time to get started on the other two sketches!
britishgirl: wonderful job on the Ad colors... those are very pretty flowers and love the stripes on the bottom of the card. Oooh really like that black and white card
Turtlebug: did we go shopping together at Michael's? I have those two stamps as well... gotta love the $1 bin! Beautiful flower card, love the colors. Love love love that tag! Awesome use of the Ad colors, that's a great bold blue on the white background. Great set of cards
*NanaDonna*: very very pretty... great complimentary colors, nice and soft too. Ad color card is great... love that "you did it" cut. I use that quite often. Cute cute baby boy card... love how you did the sentiment
DeeScraps: great Ad colors... love all those stacked stars and the ribbons on the corners!

The circles I used from Accent Essentials are all from one cut... bottom row, third from the left

Lydia, great set of sketches from you! I feel so bad not making cards for the last couple of challenges! My daughter and her family might be here for two more weeks and then they should be able to move into their new home! I think things will get back to normal soon and I will be able to get back into the swing of things!
DeeScraps, great color choice as usual!

WOW this is the worst I have seen this challenge hardly anyone is around. It is so sad as we have so much fun here.
Bingolady you should not take this "quiet" week personally as your sketches are great and were fun to work with. Looking around the message board the whole MB is very very quiet there has only been 4 posts in the last 8 hours on the Cards thread so you see it in not just this thread but the entire message board Even the Cricut Chat thread has been quiet that is usually a very busy thread
Life must really be getting in the way of everyone.

Life must really be getting in the way of everyone. I completely agree with you! It has been so so quiet the last couple of months that we're actually down to only 5 hosts now taking turns. Everyone is busy with life outside of the Cricut World... including me. However, I do have an obligation to stick around... hah hah! I haven't been as busy now that start of school chaos has settled down. I still have to find time to sneak away from the kids and squeeze myself in the craft room to make something
