I have a question for my fellow Imagine owners....will the screen tell me when my ink is getting low like the computer printer does, or do I just know by the print quality? Also, where do you all get your ink refills at? Has anybody tried the HP97 and HP98 that they claim works in the Imagine? (saw that posted on the Imagine forum). Just curious!! Thanks!

Seems like the threads on this topic are all confirming the validity of the HP97/98 cartridges. I just got my I a few weeks ago so I'm not sure about the ink levels but I think it's in the settings part. Edited by user Sunday, September 23, 2012 11:10:10 AM(UTC)

Thanks Angie!!!
Since everyone who is participating signed up for both groups, I'm going to change the bagging style to save everyone some bags. You'll put two cuts and two papers in one bag, and send them that way. So, each person should be sending 9 bags (since you are the 10th).

JCI - getting things together will be finished next week for sure. This is a lot of fun just with all the choices we have. I really love my Imagine.

JCI - I am sitting at LA X waiting for my flight to San Antonio. So much has gone on the last week & a half.
Made the viewing and funeral for my father then went to CA to visit DD & DGD. LOVED Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood & Disney. But, while there my mother had a heart cath n found her LAD (widow maker) 90% blocked. They opted for stent in lieu of open heart. She went home yesterday. I found out after it was done as she knew I had already changed flights etc to go to CA via Chicago. My DD's said I can't travel any more as when I do, bad things happen.
So looking forward to creating and relaxing at home. Have not started mine but am looking forward to keeping busy again.

Thank you all for your prompt check-ins. It looks like we're moving along nicely! Don't forget to send me your DC# when your cuts get mailed. And once I have received your cuts you no longer have to check in.

I am ok.
I am all unpacked and eyeing my I still in the box. Seriously thinking about putting plywood on youngest DD's bed and using it as a craft table. Tomorrow I will get the I out of the box and attempt my first cuts. May not be much, but it will be a start. I think it will be a lot of fun once I figure things out.

I think an important thing with the I is the calibration...you don't want to be moving it around cause you will need to recalibrate it each time. Of course it is too heavy to move too much, but I noticed mine is on a low tv/microwave cart and I bumped it once and had to recalibrate. Don't be intimidated by it and take all the horror stories of everyone else and block them out of your mind!! Your I can be your friend if you will let it!!! Let us know how it goes Sumrbrez!

Sumrbrez- I just did the same thing. I was going to have a friend make me a folding table top to put on our guest bed. DH reminded me that WM sells folding tables 5' and 6' long. I bought the 6' for 38.88 and it fits perfectly on our full size guest bed. I just need to foldit back up and slide it under the bed when guests come. I'd definitely recommend it.

But I will try and get to the PO soon.

Feel better scraplady My I is out of the box and I just calibrated it! Karen, I bought printable vellum and was going to try to get your snowflakes on that. Thought they would look better kind of sheer. I know this is the wrong swap but it is from the I. I will do them AFTER I experiment a bit. Need to figure out how to get it to read my Gypsy, but one step at a time. Soooooo excited. Edited by user Thursday, October 04, 2012 7:22:43 PM(UTC)

I am not trying to use mine with my gypsy cause I am afraid to try them together!! LOL! Each one is a challenge and maybe after I master them I will try them together!! But I got a long way to go with the gypsy yet!! I figured out once how to weld words, but now I can't figure it out again!! Ugh!!! Technology gets the better of me!!

Sumrbrez- Using the G with the I is pretty smooth. The only thing I don't like about it is that if you make a mat with cuts from Buccaneer but then decide you want to use Yummy instead, you have to open a new file rather than go back and choose a different cartridge. You can use all of your original E carts with the I papers and colors which is pretty cool. Linking the cartridges works differently and takes some time to do.
GrandmaJ- In order to weld on the G you need to move the images over each other and either 1. group them into one item and hit the weld button (the three shapes on the advanced screen) or 2. select one image and hit weld and then the other and hit weld. If only one of the items is selected to weld the weld button will be half yellow instead of all yellow (i think it's yellow, i forget the exact color that the button changes to)
I took a two session course on the G before I bought mine (i used the instructors) to make sure I wanted one. I was hooked after the first class!!

Hi.....just poking my nose in. I was wondering how the swap was going (wanted to join but was going to be out of touch this month). Anyway, in case you're interested CricutMachine (which is ProvoCraft) has I carts on sell for $14.00 Imagine Cartridges.
