Please read the guidelines and make sure you can follow them all before signing up. This exchange is for diecuts cut from steel dies that are all the rage this past several months. Due Date in my hands: Thursday, October 25, 2012, no exceptions! Some of the companies offering these dies are: CheeryLynn Designs, Magnolia Doohickeys, My Favorite Things, Memory Box or Poppy Stamps dies, Whimsey Stamp Co., PaperTrey Ink Co, Marianne Creatables, C.C. Designs, etc. We will also be doing a Group or more just for Tim Holtz dies. A visit to any of the above websites will give you a better idea of what these dies are all about. This swap is not cricut cuts or bulky 3D flowers and this is not nestabilities dies, such as Label One, Label Two, etc. Though there are other nesties that could be acceptable this round – such as doilies or leaves, fancy flourishes, etc. Further, I'm not looking for sizzix dies, or at least not the older ones. If the die has a stamp that matches it and needs to be stamped, then please do that too. The ticket dies are one die that comes to mind here. They are certainly cutest when the matching stamp/verse has been added to the shape. This swap will consist of groups of 10. You may sign up for more then 1 Group but only one slot in each Group. When you sign up, please indicate the name of the die and which company it comes from so that we will not have duplicate dies in the same Group. You will choose a steel die and cut either 20 or 30 diecuts on good quality; color appropriate Cardstock or printed paper or specialty paper. EXCEPTION THIS ROUND: EMBELLISHED GROUPS WILL ONLY BE ONE PERSON. MORE FOR SHOWING WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH DIE TO HELP MAKE DECISION ON WHETHER TO PURCHASE IT OR NOT FOR YOURSELF. If the die you choose to use is a leaf/branch style, then you will cut 30 which means each person in the group will receive back 3 of that diecut. If the die you choose to use is anything different then a leaf/branch, then you will only cut 20 which means each person in the group will receive back 2 of that diecut. If you are wondering why I’m asking that the leaf/branch be in multiples of 3 it’s simply because they are often smaller and/or 3 are normally needed to be placed around a flower arrangement. I would think this is common sense, but I will NOT accept any diecuts sent in using cheap paper or inappropriate colors. For example, if you send in a leaf diecut, then I would expect it to be in a shade of green or holiday appropriate color. Plain cardstock will be the most popular choice of paper, but should you use a printed designer paper, just make sure it is of good weight and quality. Or consider cutting out the diecuts again in CS to layer behind the printed paper to give it more weight and quality. Diecuts are to be RECEIVED BY Thursday, October 25, 2012. No exceptions! I absolutely will not accept late mailings unless you provide a Delivery Confirmation No. showing the pkg. was accepted at the PO on or before October 20th. You will receive your own back if they arrive late and I have already sorted and mailed back the others. I am not holding up a swap for something as simple as diecuts. Further, should someone flake at the last minute, I will angel the spot myself so you will receive back 10 sets of diecuts, no matter what. Please note: any packages arriving from outside the USA must arrive by the due date. I will not hold up the swap waiting on international packages nor will I hold myself responsible should the package take weeks or months or get lost in its return trip back to you. SHIPPING INFO: Shopping List: Snack size baggies or sandwich size (10 for each group joined) Quart or gallon Ziploc baggie (one for each Group joined) Please make sure your mailing envelope is large enough to hold the return diecuts - keeping in mind that even though your diecuts may all be snack sized, the rest of us may have chosen a diecut that is sandwich sized or even longer in length. Unless you only joined one Group, the smaller 5x7 or 6x9 sized envelopes will most likely not be appropriate for this type of swap. The sorting process goes much faster for me if you baggie up the diecuts into 10 individual baggies for each group. Plus it keeps them from getting entangled and tattered. The sorting process also is simplified when you then put those 10 baggies in a quart or gallon size Ziploc baggie. That way, when I have 10 diecuts from everyone in your group, all different sizes, they all will fit into the larger Ziploc bag; be more organized in your envelope; and travel safer on their return trip back to you. If you sign up for more than one Group, then you will have a quart or gallon sized baggie for each group you have joined. It’s also helpful if you place your return mailing address and stamps or money in another baggie. Please send cash or stamps in the same amount it took to mail your envelope plus $1.00 in case it cost extra to send it back to you. Please only send cash or stamps, no metered mail/preprinted labels. I will return any unused stamps and dollar bills to you. But, understandably, if it's just a small amount of change, I may not take the time to do so. BTW, for those of you that have this down to a science…THANK YOU! It makes the trip to the PO so much faster and easier! If questions come in that I have not addressed above, then I will adjust the above rules. So please do not be afraid to ask. Lots of Groups to cover the Christmas holiday too. It's wonderful if you have dies for each Group, but please check your free crafting time for the next several weeks to be sure you can complete all the Groups and mail in plenty of time. Obviously the embellished groups are more time consuming and free time is at a premium this time of year for everyone. So I feel it's fair to request proof that they are done way before the DD nears and I trust that you will also mail them on time. Also: Everyone will be wanting these holiday diecuts to use on their holiday projects, so I want it very clear to everyone that I do not accept late mailings. If you mail within the week of the DD, you'd best have a working DC# to show the PO is having a slow week and that is why they are not arriving by the date projected by the PO.

So pretty! I didn't try something with intricut cuts though, like a doily. So J's carries that paper in the 8x10 size and next weekend is their coupon explosion with several 50% off coupons. So might be the perfect opportunity to get some specialty paper at a better price for this swap. Also, it takes some time to study your dies and the groups and figure out which die can best be used where! lol I may change my mind on a couple before it's said and done. Also, I tried cutting them out first on the correct paper to make sure they cut okay before listing it as my choice! I'm learning from last round...

Does that even make sense? Ok for example to the ticket stamps set Treasured Moments has Love like you have nothing to lose, laugh til you cry, live like there is no tomorrow, cherish each passing moment and so on. So would I pick three and do 10 of each or pick 1 and do 30? Hopefully that makes a little more sense. Thanks

And you could stamp the same verse on all 20, but they are such good verses that I would like to have one of a couple of them. and I don't have an issue with you joining both group 1 and group 2 so that you could end up doing all 4 verses. That is, if it's not too time consuming and you don't mind doing that many. Do you have a stampamajig? lol Will make placement easier, I believe.

I have the large postage stamp die the, small postage stamp die and the ticket die and several sets of the stamps for each die. I will do group one and two for the tickets and can I also do the Christmas group for the ticket or is that to many tickets? I don't have Christmas stamps for the postage stamps or I would do one of those.

And it's something that will be stamped and finished and we can just grab! Just check the list to make sure I have it all written up correctly.

You know how you buy something on clearance, dirt cheap, and figure it's too good of a deal to pass on...so you buy a bunch and throw it in the corner, wondering when you'll finally have a reason to use it? But thinking also that I could cut it in wood tones paper, emboss it with wood grain, use velum for window instead of mesh and make it into a door? So I'm thinking maybe I can get double duty out of it. Anyway, the screen door may be cute next year for some spring/summer cards.

And if we fill the anything goes groups, I'm fine with adding on another group. I would just ask that those already in the first 2 groups refrain from joining the third group for the time being. Quite a few from last round haven't even had a chance to realize Rd 3 is open! lol

I could do them in gold this time with green bows or like last round. I also bought the gate that matches Victorian Picket fence. I could do them together for the boarder group. I know this die has been done in the last two rounds , so I don't mind if you don't want it again. Thanks for doing this again, Laura

I'm not going to put the picket fence in the border group though as I'm not sure that that is what we are looking for in that group and yes, we have done it several times in previous groups. So let's hold off for now. Thanks

Old wooden screen door....that would go better with my brown mesh too! I will try that! More pretty for a cardfront too, I suspect. and yes, I bet you could use tulle. Or that mesh that is wiry, that is sold this time of year for wreaths. Terri was just showing in one of the swaps a tulle mesh wreath she made for her craft show. I just happen to have that mesh, so I was all excited to realize I could use it and I even knew exactly where I had it stored! lol

You are a genius! So I opened my drawer to grab some crackle paint clear....and then realized that I also had the peeled paint crackle paint...it's a green....so I grabbed the matching distress ink to color my white diecut, then have just now painted on the crackle paint. So it needs to dry and crack before I finish it up. But if it isn't the perfect green for Christmas projects! and now I need to find a xmas wreath to hang on the window screen! Suppose the black cat will need a santa hat too.... Anyway....I think I will have something special to show you once my test run is completed. I need to see if I can get the crackle paint on thicker next try to hopefully get the cracks to show up more. But this gives you idea. Now...is green okay or would you prefer brown? and don't study my coloring skills on the wreath as I was too quick and did a poor job! Looks like the categories are filling up, good sign One request to anyone who can help, on some of the non Christmas ones could some people make a few cuts in soft pastels and maybe even soft pink and or blue? I went looking for a cut today and realized most of them are either fall colors or green and red.
