I'm not planning on getting an Imagine either. I just got my E last Nov and love it. I also own a Gazelle which hardly ever gets used but it does have the ability to cut around an already printed object - doesn't do the printing though. SharonSkippy wrote:You'll LOVE your E! Can I ask a question about your Pink E or anyone else's??? Is it loud??? i have a standard E and it always has been quiet... but my friend just got a Pink E and it sounds like a tractor! it's so loud and I feel really bad for her because she's looked forward to getting it so much. Sharon, I have the blue E with the scroll design on it and it is very loud. It cuts great so I never bothered to ask PC about it. It sort of vibrates loudly every time the blade assembly moves. I have a friend who had both the champagne and blue E's and both were fairly loud also. I hope it doesn't discourage your friend too much but I think the main thing is whether it cuts correctly.

jdandi wrote:I will still listen to you talk about your Pink E. The wonderful shade of pink that it is. How it sparkles in the sunlight. How it cuts so much better than other color E because somehow the wonderful pinkness rubs off on all the cuts and gives them something extra. Heck I will even let you rub my nose in the fact that I don't have a Pink E and you do. Like every new product it will have its day but soon the hype will die down and everyone will return to their normal crafting lives. Love your pink E and give it a hug for me. LOL! I too want a pink E soooo bad- maybe when the E hits Michael's they'll drop the pink one's price......

I don't have an Imagine, and am not really interested.... I like die cuts -- I'm not so fond of those printed images... I think it's a matter of personal taste, and I'll be sticking with my Expression, which is my true love!!!!

No Imagine for me either. I am too much of a paper freak. I love the hunt of going to a store and looking at all of the paper and picking out.

It's a cool concept, but I've had my E for less than a month, so I'll enjoy that for a couple years before I upgrade.

I think you will find that most folks are still doing a lot with their E even if they bought an I. Then, you'll find a number of people that don't own an I. I believe this board will still have a lot of non-I crafts.

I don't even have a Gypsy yet, so I'm pretty sure I'll be on the "No Imagine" train for a loooong time, possibly forever ;)
I do want a Pink E though, really bad!

I dont even have an E...yet! I just got the create in april. I am happy with it and have no need for the Imagine. well i think it is really neat, i think it is also very costly with the ink and all. Plus it will cost a fortune to get here in Canada. I am going to save for the Gypsy then an E!! Talk away

OF COURSE I will keep with my E. I love it. If I did not have one I might be tempted by the IMAGINE. But there is still so much to learn with the E. I have done vinyl and etching and I even made a memorial headstone for my dog. ( REALLY! ) But still want to use the pens . Want to cut folders for my cuddlebug. Juat recently returned from SCRAPFESt at Msall of America. Women were there form all over. Some had jusy ordered th eImagine. But some said.. with a juke box and a Design Studio you have it made. So as soon as I GET A NEW COMPUTER I WILL GET DS. BTW I love the Juke Box. 2 years and still going!

I have no interest in getting an imagine. The only way I would have one and use it is if I won it. LOL

Oh, the pink E is so pretty. I really like that one. I have the red E and have no intention of ever getting the I. I like to cut and layer and I just don't care for the look of the Imagine cuts. Enjoy your pink E!

You'll be seeing my usual E projects - no plans or desire to get an imagine, I am not a fan of the clip art look, the papers all look a bit samey, I like paper too much, and I would rather spend my money on new shape cartridges than paper ones. Also, I am shuddering to think what the ink costs are going to be. I am on 2 digi companies design teams, and I use a LOT of ink. So my beloved E is quite safe, and even if it dies on me, I would upgrade to a lovely pink one like yours

I also will be here with you.I would never be able to maintain the expense. I don't even have the desire for anything large than the baby bug. No gypsy either, however, I do have and love my netbook. Perfect for scrapping.

At first when I saw the "I" on HSN I was OK cool told my DH watch this I might want that. But the more I watched it I said its not for me. Love my Expression. I started off with the Regular Gricut when it came out, last Sept when HSN had the Gypsy I got the Expression and the Gypsy. So you won't be alone.

I am more than happy with the Baby(V1) and the Expression. I use the Gypsy with both of them. Will not be getting the Imagine anytime soon, if at all.

I just got my Expression, Design Studio and a Jukebox (thanks to my wonderful DH). I've had my Baby Bug for 1-1/2 years and I wanted an E for at least the past year or so when I realized how limited the baby bug is. Now I FINALLY have one and can't wait to play with it more this weekend. I can't believe it's finally sitting on my scrapbook table in all it's glory. That being said, I have no interest in the Imagine (or the Gypsy) whatsoever. Not even a teeny twinge of interest. Nothing.
