I just spent $300 on a pink E just a few months ago and now the imagine comes out and that is what everyone will be talking about all over the boards. I hope there will still be room here for those of us who can't get the imagine.

Don't feel bad about it. I LOVE my pink E and will not be getting the Imagine. And no, I don't have a Gypsy either.

I will still listen to you talk about your Pink E. The wonderful shade of pink that it is. How it sparkles in the sunlight. How it cuts so much better than other color E because somehow the wonderful pinkness rubs off on all the cuts and gives them something extra. Heck I will even let you rub my nose in the fact that I don't have a Pink E and you do. Like every new product it will have its day but soon the hype will die down and everyone will return to their normal crafting lives. Love your pink E and give it a hug for me.

You'll LOVE your E! I'd love an Imagine... but can't justify the cost at the moment... or maybe ever!!! I love all my bugs!
Can I ask a question about your Pink E or anyone else's??? Is it loud??? i have a standard E and it always has been quiet... but my friend just got a Pink E and it sounds like a tractor! it's so loud and I feel really bad for her because she's looked forward to getting it so much.

Hi, congrats on the E. I bought one of the first cricuts in Australia and then months later the E came out. I was not happy but it did what I needed it to do at the time. I now have an E but due to my work commitments I havent even pulled it out of the box! I will get there! Hang out getting one because they will bring out another one that is probably cheaper and better. JMO I agree that I won't be getting an imagine not in the next 5 years... It is a great idea though. I want a Pink E. I will take a Pink E over an Imagine any day. If I had my choice between the two the Pink E would get snagged up faster than a snap. :)
I am not planning to get an Imagine either. The thing is HUGE! I would need to move, lol. I am kidding, kind of. :)
All kidding aside I have no interest in it. I find it fascinating. I think it's a great machine. It's not something I would use in my art toolbox right now.

I'm not getting an Imagine either. I just spent $60 to replace the cartridges in my regular printer and it kills me to spend that much on ink. The cost of the machine + the ink + all the special cartridges + the new regular cartridges is just more than I can afford being retired and living on a fixed income. I already have a huge wish list of regular cartridges which will take me awhile to get so I'm not interested in adding a new system to that list.

My baby bug and E are two years old now and still going strong. I have no plans to even get the pink E, although she is awfully pretty! No Imagine for me either! Like another poster said, I would have to win one to own one. I am doing fine trying to keep up with the regular carts that I want! LOL

The Imagine doesn't appeal to me, but I've enjoyed seeing the projects made with it. I know I'll never get one, though. The printed-clipart look doesn't do it for me. I did that years ago and I like the pieced-paper look so much more.
I hope PC does something with the two XTRA buttons on the Expression. I would like to see those utilized before a new Expression comes out.

I think there will be lots of us who don't have the imagine. I have no plan to get one, I love my e! I think it will be like the gypsy lots will have it and lots won't.

the more i hear about the imagine the more i'm on the fence. Oh i won't be able to buy one for quite a while but I think down the road in the next decade it might.
I have to many things right now that require me to buy ink carts for.

When HSN was showing the Imagine, my husband asked if I wanted one and I said no. I don't want to buy the ink for it. I have to much paper I need to use.

You are not alone. Didn't get an Imagine either although I was given the chance to. Too big and too costly in the long run. YOu will love your Pink E.

No imagine here nor will there be in the future. I love my expression and the layering with colored card stock that stands out when layered. I am a Jolees junkie which will explain why I am sticking with the expression not to mention I have no ink expense except for my photos! Edited by user Thursday, September 30, 2010 8:53:33 PM(UTC)

I can certainly understand the feeling of being left out....I felt the same way when post after post is from excited Imagine owners...but then I got to thinking - I enjoy seeing ALL TYPES of creations made with a pink E or an imagine... Imagine owners are still the same friendly folks that were on here before when they were just cricut owners....and I'm sure they would love to chat with you too :) I remember when the Gypsy came out - Yes I bought one...and yes that was all everyone talked about at first. I think you will see in a short while all the posts with questions and concerns will start to ebb....and then it will just be more posts with nothing but beautiful creations - both cricut and Imagine creations.... just give it a little time - and you are welcome on this MB no matter what product you do or don't own just wanted to add I don't have an Imagine (I would love one, but just can't swing it - am I sad? sure, but there is always something coming out the is the next big thing...). Keep your chin up sweetie - I would love to hear about your pink E!!

I only got the baby bug because my wonderful sister gave me one for a birthday present and I used the heck out of it for years. Then last Black Friday got the E because it was on such a marvelous deal that I couldn't pass it up. Now, thanks to a very kind MB member I am getting a Gypsy at an extremely reasonble price (thank you FeelinSqurrely!!). I would love to have the Imagine but since getting the E just a year ago and with the $$ of the Imagine not fitting in with my budget, I will not be getting one for awhile. And I may decide in the future that I don't even want one.
Not everybody can afford everything (or WANT everything) so there will always be people who don't have an Imagine but have the Baby or the E or the Create. I enjoy seeing the posts both positive and negative about the Imagine and seeing what's done with it. I don't think that all the posts or attention are going to be involving the Imagine. They will have their own threads just like all the other machines on this board and we'll all learn from each other.
I have seen the Pink E at Michael's and it's a pretty machine (in addition to being FUN) so keep crafting and SMILE! This part of my life is sooo much fun!

At this time I am sticking with my baby bug and E that I have. Also have both DS and the gypsy so that will keep me busy. Have decided that investing in more carts would be better than another machine.
Just remember that some of the items you see people making with the imagine you will be able to do also with your E. Its just we will not be able to print them then cut them. We just have to use preprinted paper or card stock.
