I'm trying to link my cartridges for the first time to DS and everyone on them says it's not detected at first then finds it successfully but nothing is happening after that. How long does it take to link them and add them to "MY CARTS or do I have to use them first before they'll link?

You don't actually "link" them to Design Studio.

If you want to categorize them in "My Cartridges," in the drop-down menu of the Cricut Cartridge Library, choose "All by Category." Double click the title of one of you cartridges. In the "Preferences" tab (at the top left), select "my cartridge." Then, move on to your next cartridge. Once you have done that to all your cartridges, you just go to "my cartridges" & all your cartridges will be listed in alpahbetical order. That makes it much easier to find cartridges!

Thanks for the help. I don't think I can "link" though. Using my original cricut and from what I read in troubleshooting it doesn't seem to be capable. Does that sound right? It will let me use them to cut so that's good. I was trying to find an easier way to add them in MY CARTS so I don't have to keep looking for them. BigGrin

I really doesn't take long to list your cartridges in My Cartridges!
You just have to do it one by one, but it only takes seconds per cartridge. It is very much worth the effort because Cricut didn't do a consistent job categorizung & alpahbetizing them. Once listed in "My Cartridges,' they will be alphabetized for you.
