Does anyone have any ideas for what to do with gum containers? I have become addicted to Orbit white gum. the containers open at the top and also open on the side so you can shake out 1-2 pcs of gum. These containers would be great for shaking out something! but I can't put a finger on it. Sue

How about eyelets, brads, buttons, or other small embellishments?
Or refill them with candy to keep in your desk! LOL

Yup! I was thinking what Kim said... or decorate them and refill them with M&M's or the mini M&M's or smarties candies..give them out. I don't know what the gum/container looks like so I don't know what will fit. Thats all I can think of.

I keep one in my van with change in it. Keeps it handy and it is easy to get out.

Sue They'd be a cute little funny gift for a teacher if you put a few Advil/Tylenol in it and had it say something like, "Survival Kit".

I store craft items in them like little pompoms beads etc. I also use them for my toddler and put treats like cheerios in them when we go out somewhere. My daughter uses them to store all the little shoes etc for barbie, littlest pet shop, Polly Pocket etc. I also use one as a little sugar container in my kitchen...I love these little things.

Funny I should come accross this thread. I had two containers that I wanted to do something with and was trying to come up with something. I finally did a sewing kit. I cut a piece of cardboard box the size of the top, I cut the a circle of fabric 1/2 wider than the top. I ten cut foam 1/2 in wider than cardboard circle. I placed foam on top of cardboard circle then I placed fabric on top of foam. I hot glued fabric to underside of cardboard circle (sandwiching in the foam), this created a pin cushion. I then hot glued it to top of container. I stuck pins and sewing needle to pincushion and filled container with sewing supplies. I then decorated the container with vinyl flowers and buttons and stuff. Made a great desk top sewing kit for office. I wish I could figure out how to insert photo. U can take a look at my blog(sort of a blog, havent mastered that either) Edited by user Saturday, October 02, 2010 9:50:58 AM(UTC)
