I just bought Frightful affair and Quilted Christmas cartridges and would love to have an update for Cricut design studio so they are added to my library. I hope Cricut makes these updates avaviable. I love the Cricut design studio.  Keep PC software going Please. Thanks. Celeste

Hi! I was wondering when there would be an update for the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. Please tell me it will be available for Design Studio. I've had nothing but bad luck with the Craft Room.

I've done both those updates and it still isn't working. It tells me my firmware needs to be updated. When I check for updates it can't find anything. How do I update my firmware?? Thanks, Amy saucersrus@yahoo.com

I recommend updating the firmware through Design Studio only. I tried doing it through Craft Room and when the Craft Room connection was lost and I got a "service error" message it killed my cricut. Can't do a thing with it now. I should be getting a replacement next week. I can't even log into craft room most of the time and now that it fried my cricut I won't have anything to do with it anymore.

So there is no more updates for cricut design studio? I don't like cricut craft room. I havn't used my design studio for about 2 or 3 years. Now that I want to use it I can't find any updates!

You can update your cartridge content with the link at the top of this thread and you can still update your firmware through DS.

So how long does it take for Provo Craft to fix something? This has been going on long enough. No wonder people are switching to other cutters and programs.

I saw that people with a Gypsy have updated with the new carts, when are we CDS people going to get our updates? PC PLEASE MAKE THIS A PRIORITY TO GET IT BACK ONLINE ASAP!

I would like a New Design Studio Content Update also, I HATE the Craft Room and will not use it, not fond of the Gypsy either, to small for my eyes, the Cricut Design Studio is the One for Me !!!! I LOVE IT ...

Reading these post, I with several of you. I love using the Design Studio. Not only is it easy to use...it pretty much trouble free! The CCR is slow, stalls, objects do not move easily in it. I prefer using DS over my Gypsy.

We are all impatiently awaiting for the next update to have all the new carts we want to play with. If you have a Gypsy there are updates for that, but not for us DS users.

Hello again! Just got off the phone with Jeanette at PC regarding the updates for Create a Critter 2, Children Around the World and Teddy Bear Parade. The are supposedly working on the next update. I could not get a pinpointed "date", just an email when it does come out. Sigh...

Thanks for the heads up about the gypsy update, I also love DS and will not use CCR. I hope the update for DS is soon, until then I will use my gypsy. I'm having doubts about buying any more Hello Thursday carts.

I've called customer service 3 times. Once each of the last 3 weeks because the update "should be ready in 7-10 days".
Today I wrote the company an old fashioned letter asking when it's going to be done! There's information with addresses on my blog if you want to take 5 minutes to send them a letter. It will get a thousand times more attention than anything we can do online or over the phone!

I have updated everything -- the firmware, the fonts, etc. and STILL can not see Mini Books on the cartridge library list! What the heck am I doing wrong?????

I have used DS for a long time, and have never had any problems. I had to reinstall DS on a new computer. Tech Support helped me out by resetting my serial number and giving me the link to download the newest update to the program and the font file. After doing it, I was told I needed to do a firmware update, and that is when the trouble began. No matter what I did, it would not finalize the update. It just kept telling me I needed to do it again. Today, I called tech support again and spoke to Jeanette. She was MUCH more knowledgeable than Jenny, the person to whom I spoke last week. One thing Jeanette told me that Jenny didn't (nor is it in the instructions)--- you can't have a cartridge in your machine when you do the update. Unfortunately, after removing the cartridge, the update still didn't work. Now, they are telling me that some memory card in my machine is defective. I have to ship my machine to them and will be without it for a couple of weeks. If it doesn't work after this, I am jumping ship!

I've never removed the cart from my Cricut to update DS or the firmware.  Are you turning your Cricut off and putting it in update mode before starting the second pass of the firmware update?
